Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) is an international organization that works in partnership with the United Nations and leaders in government, the private sector, financial institutions, civil society and philanthropies to drive faster action towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) – access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030 – in line with the Paris Agreement on climate. Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon launched the Sustainable Energy for All initiative in 2011. Now an independent organization, SEforALL works to ensure a clean energy transition that leaves no one behind and brings new opportunities for everyone to fulfill their potential, with SEforALL's CEO Damilola Ogunbiyi acting as the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All and Co-Chair of UN-Energy. At the SEforALL Global Forum 2025, the Middle East Green Initiative’s Forward7 | فورورد7, in partnership with GeCCo - Global Electric Cooking Coalition, MECS programme and UK Aid Direct, announced a new electric cooking (eCooking) Support and Scale-Up to accelerate clean cooking in Sierra Leone. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirms its commitment to global energy access efforts, now extending support to Sierra Leone. The eCooking Support and Scale-Up will be implemented in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone to support Sierra Leone’s energy transition and green growth strategy: ✅ Scale up off-grid solar-powered electric cooking solutions ✅ Promote women’s empowerment through access to clean energy This initiative demonstrates the importance of integrated energy planning and cross-sector collaboration in achieving universal clean cooking access. Together with our partners, we can accelerate progress and create a cleaner, more sustainable future for all! 💡

The NSIA: Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), in partnership with Africa50 Group, International Solar Alliance (ISA) and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) has signed a non-binding Heads of Terms for the launch of a Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) Fund, at the SEforALL Global Forum in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Fund will help catalyse local currency solutions to develop a bankable pipeline of DRE projects in Nigeria including mini-grids, solar home systems, commercial and industrial (C&I) power solutions, embedded generation, and energy storage to deliver reliable, cost-effective power to homes and businesses. #NSIA #DRE #DRENigeriaFund #SEForAll #energyaccess #sustainability #infrastructure #investment #RenewableEnergy

🌍 Fast-Tracking SDG7: Unlocking the Power of Mini-Grids, Clean Cooking & Energy Planning ⚡ At SEforALL Global Forum 2025, amidst the many impactful sessions we hosted, we joined forces with partners to explore how mini-grids, clean cooking, and holistic energy planning can accelerate energy access and drive real progress toward SDG7. Key takeaways from the session: ✅ Integrated planning is essential - incorporating clean cooking from the start enhances mini-grid viability. ✅ Innovative financing & business models can de-risk investments and scale up solutions. ✅ Stronger partnerships between governments, businesses, and communities are vital to overcoming cost and demand barriers. In the session, Forward7 | فورورد7 initiative reinforced its commitment to sustainable solutions for rural communities, by deploying a project in Madagascar that provides: 🔹 Electricity access to 60,000+ individuals 🔹 Clean cooking solutions for 20,000+ individuals 🔹 E-learning opportunities for 1,000+ students across 2 schools 🔹 E-health services for 3,000+ individuals at 1 health facility 🔹 Communication access for 10,000+ individuals Achieving universal energy access by 2030 requires collaboration, innovation, and bold action - let’s make it happen! 💡 #SEforALLForum #EnergyAccess #CleanCooking
