Zumtobel Lighting turns 75 – a remarkable milestone in the history of the Zumtobel Group. What is behind this success? Above all, it is the unwavering commitment of our entire team to shaping the future of lighting solutions. A heartfelt thank you to all employees who contributed to this journey with passion and dedication!   Our dedication to innovation continues in 2025, as is demonstrated by the upcoming launch of TECTON II.   The anniversary year has even more in store – including a special exhibition at the Zumtobel Group Light Forum. It will showcase light installations created over the years in collaboration with renowned artists. A key part of the exhibition is a Future Lab installation, developed together with the international universities of Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, the Technische Universität Darmstadt and the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts Beirut. The exhibition is completed by a gallery of bold portraits depicting our employees – the people behind the Zumtobel brand’s strength.   Beyond that, we look forward to many special moments, encounters, and initiatives throughout the year, which I will be sharing here as well.   More on #75YEARSZUMTOBEL: https://lnkd.in/d_J9FRu2

Happy Birthday, Zumtobel Lighting!   During the anniversary year, Zumtobel gives space to a wide range of light perspectives, reviewing their past and looking ahead at their future in the Light Forum in Dornbirn. Starting in mid-May, fascinating light art installations from Zumtobel’s collaboration with artists will be on display, a Future Lab installation created in cooperation with international universities dedicated to the young generation will be shown, and the expressive portraits of employees will put the spotlight on the people behind this strong brand.   Of course, we’re also celebrating the anniversary here on LinkedIn! For this year's International Women's Day, we shine a spotlight on Lina Ghotmeh - the designer of the latest annual report for the Zumtobel Group! With her work and mindset, the Lebanese-French architect significantly impacts the international architectural discourse. Lina Ghotmeh is spanning the realm of art, architecture and design. Her innovative and poetic work reveals a transversal and multidisciplinary approach to architecture. Ghotmeh's buildings are interpreted as a reflection of her experience in Beirut, a city characterised by unrest. We were so happy to hear that her studio LINA GHOTMEH — ARCHITECTURE has won the competition to redesign the Western Range galleries at The British Museum in London. The project will be one of the biggest cultural renovations undertaken anywhere in the world. One year ago today, we achieved something incredible: Zumtobel’s CIELUMA set a world record title for the largest continuously illuminated ceiling in the world at Light + Building 2024. Installed by Zumtobel and its long-standing manufacturing partner Typico at their trade fair stand in Frankfurt am Main, the world record-holding CIELUMA illuminated ceiling measured over 200 square meters. In line with the booth's sustainability concept, the parts are or will be reused at different Zumtobel locations: Around 16 square meters are installed in the Vienna Light Center, 58 square meters are planned for the Zurich Light Center – and further projects are already being planned! #lighting #thelight #recordbreaking #worldrecord
