Increase protein intake for healthier ageing in older adults 🥩🍳 Meeting the changing nutritional and hydration needs of older adults is crucial for their health, especially in aged care. Research shows that older adults often need more, not less, protein to maintain strength and muscle mass to support their overall wellbeing. This is why it's important that every meal includes enough protein to meet their dietary requirements. 💥 For more practical tips, explore our Food For Thought article on the topic 👇

💉😷 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Week is held during the third week of October each year to highlight the importance of preventing infections and the spread of disease. The focus this year is ‘𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘐𝘗𝘊 𝘣𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯’ In aged care, IPC is everybody’s responsibility – from leaders in charge of organisational and clinical governance through to onsite IPC leads (https://lnkd.in/dTV8_kr), clinical and care staff, and also staff in non-clinical roles.
