Did you know . . . on 17 October 2019, a guy named Mehran Asadabadi, better known as Mez (or Muffins to a select few), joined Alliance. Alliance are proud to be working on the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project.    The Warringah Freeway is one of the busiest and most complex road corridors in Australia. This project involves upgrading 4km of Warringah Freeway between North Sydney and Naremburn, upgrading six existing intersections including a new northbound on ramp at High Street and constructing a new continuous southbound bus lane from Miller Street to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.   Alliance have been providing our full range of services including geotechnical, environmental and testing. It's great to see progress on the Moss Vale Station and Stabling Yard upgrade project. Alliance has been working closely with Degnan who are delivering another Transport for NSW project. We have completed a number of waste classifications and facilitated onsite licensed asbestos assessor supervision (air monitoring etc) during excavation and removal of asbestos contaminated wastes. #geotechnical #engineering #environment #contamination #remediation #hazmat

Last week Alliance swapped their signature orange for a splash of PINK – all for a good cause – to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. This month it was the Support team’s turn to organise the BBQ and they did not disappoint. Featuring kebabs, salads and an enormous number of pizzas (kindly donated by our IT supplier Pacific Data Solutions). Fitting in with the PINK theme the team also made a Malaysian drink called Air Bandung consisting of rose syrup, milk, coconut jelly and chia seeds. After lunch and a relaxed catch-up it was time for our Managing Director, Thomas Dale, to jump on the back of a ute and update everyone on what was happening at Alliance. These events are a great opportunity for all our teams to come together and hear what each other is up to, plus this time, raise money for a great cause. Congratulations to the Support BBQ team including Mara D. October the 5th is a special day at Alliance – as it’s when we celebrate anniversaries for two of our special team members – Mark McGill and Fritz Aguasa 🎉 Mark has been at Alliance for eight years and is the hardest worker in the lab. He’s been in this field for over four decades and works harder every day! Mark loves a good story and has plenty to tell 🤣 which makes him a pleasure to work with – a top bloke and a bloody great worker. Fritz has been at Alliance for five years and is known as ‘Mr Nice Guy’. He’s a central part of the team and recently played a major role for the Lab on the Spring Farm Parkway project. His ‘can-do’ attitude and friendly nature underpins the culture that Alliance prides itself on. 🙌 Congratulations to these two fantastic team members – we’re proud to have you part of the Alliance team!

It's great seeing the progress on the Nepean Hospital Stage 2 Redevelopment. Alliance have been working on the Daikin Sydney Expansion project in Chipping Norton since May 2022. Beginning with a preliminary site investigation we have worked closely with CIP Constructions in gaining approvals and undertaking extensive investigations and reporting, with all reports reviewed by a NSW EPA accredited site auditor.   Currently we are undertaking full-time monitoring of works on the site.   #geotechnical #engineering #environment #contamination #remediation #hazmat
