Today our colleagues attended the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference on the Gold Coast to share insights and ideas in digital health. Our Chief Program Officer Paul Creech participated in a panel ‘Digital Health: The next 5 years for pharmacy’, moderated by Paul Naismith, CEO of Fred IT Group, and alongside Anthony Tassone, Pharmacy Guild National Councillor and Chair of the Guild’s Health Economics and Policy Committee, and Regina Cowie, Partnerships Manager eHealth, Fred IT Group. The panel spoke about how digital health, including programs like My Health Record, Real Time Prescription Monitoring and electronic prescribing support the whole care team, including pharmacists. It improves consumer choice and control as well as health outcomes for all Australians – and of course, it can put all your key health information in the palm of your hand via the my health app. Thanks to The Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the panellists for the opportunity to participate, and the lively discussion. Thanks also to our colleagues Julie Do, Chris Fleming, Peter Raulinitis and Crystal Yim for their contribution.
