The Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN), in partnership with Retrospect Labs, and generously sponsored by the Australian Signals Directorate, recently wrapped up its fourth annual Incident Response Competition, an engaging and challenging event for women across Australia. Cyber Security Awareness Professional | Organisational Change Manager | AWSN Gold Coast Chapter Lead
✨ Last night at our Gold Coast AWSN - Australian Women in Security Network speaking event, we heard from the incredible Annelies Moens, a true powerhouse in privacy! ✨ Annelies dove into the big changes coming with Australian Privacy reforms, breaking down the differences between privacy and security, why we're seeing more regulation, and the 25% of reforms we know are coming. She also gave us a heads-up on the 75% still to go and what businesses should be doing right now to get ready. Her depth of knowledge is impressive, but even more so was her ability to turn complex issues into relatable, real-world examples and conversations that fully engaged everyone in the room! Thank you, AWSN - Australian Women in Security Network and Annelies Moens, for bringing together our local security community and providing this valuable learning moment. It's events like these that fuel our understanding and strengthen our network! 💜 The Gold Coast AWSN Chapter leads Sabine Bourdin, Paula Sillars, Marta T., and I are excited to bring more fantastic events like this to our community, with other great sessions lined up for the future! #AWSN #CyberSecurity #PrivacyReforms #Community #PrivacyAwareness
