On Thursday, the CareSuper team celebrated IWD with a special event for staff featuring guest speaker Jo Kowalczyk, CEO of Women in Super, hosted by Maryanne Mullahy, our Regional Partnership Manager. Women in Super plays a key role in the drive for equal rights, power and opportunities for all and we were thrilled to hear from Jo who shared insights about her career, her lifelong passion for advocacy and the recent achievements of Women in Super. Jo also shared the goals Women in Super hold for the future, including tax reform and closing the gender pay and super gaps. This week, CareSuper's Chair, Linda Scott (GAICD), joins a delegation of Australian superannuation funds, with Robin Colwell, Deputy Assistant to the President of USA for Economic Policy and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, Cath Bowtell, IFM Investors Chair and the Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP, Treasurer of Australia at the inaugural Australian Superannuation Investment Summit in Washington DC and New York City. Our mission: to secure the best investment deals to grow our members’ retirement savings. By meeting with key US policymakers and investors, we aim to identify top investment opportunities that will deliver strong returns for our members. Linda Scott commented: “Our strong, awarded, and recognised performance is built on a strategy of actively investing our members’ super contributions into a diversified range of investments in Australia and, increasingly, overseas. The strong performance of the USA share market, in the world’s largest and most dynamic economy, has contributed to the strong performance we’ve delivered for members.” #superannuation #investments #retirement
