🚀 #QldPol We need commitment to expedited action 🗳️ As we countdown to the Queensland State Election I’m so deeply proud to launch the Women in Sustainability Collective Manifesto for the next Parliament. The cost-of-living crisis, crime, affordable housing, and healthcare have rightly been central to the 2024 campaign debate; yet, we cannot forget that climate action is inextricably linked to solving these issues. Investing in climate solutions, including renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, not only addresses climate risks but also reduces long-term living costs, improves health outcomes, and fosters safer, more resilient communities. A just and fair transition is essential—one that ensures all Queenslanders, especially vulnerable communities, are supported through the transition to a sustainable future, unlocking both economic opportunity and nature repair . I am deeply humbled to have worked on this advocacy initiative with the formidable Cle-Anne Gabriel from ThinkZero and Georgine Roodenrys from Deloitte Australia. The vision would not have been possible without you both. Special thanks also go to Nicole T Garofano, PhD, AAIP Heidi Hauf Rachel Nolan Anne Tiernan Sarah Delahunty for supporting our mission. THANK YOU to the 250+ Women in Sustainability Collective for contributing to this Manifesto and showing up to connect with the remarkable women leading change across sectors and Qld communities 🙏 Steven Miles David Crisafulli Sam O'Connor MP Sonja Johnson BBus, GradCert, GAICD, PMP, ACEcD, MIML Glenys Schuntner Kylie Porter Aaron Fa'Aoso Bree James Yolonde Entsch Meaghan Scanlon MP Honourable Curtis Pitt MP Lance McCallum MP Charis Mullen MP Allan Dale Sandra Harding Lisa McLean #climate #circulareconomy #renewables #emissions #sustainablefinance #sustainablefuels #justtransition
🌏 Together, We’ve Created a Vision for Queensland’s Sustainable Future 🌱 Today, we are thrilled to launch the Women in Sustainability Collective Manifesto, a powerful document that outlines our priority policy positions for the next Queensland State Government. This manifesto embodies our shared commitment to addressing the pressing challenges of climate change, advancing circularity, and promoting nature repair and renewable energy. What makes this manifesto remarkable is the collaborative journey behind it. It’s the result of a co-design and co-development process with the talented and dedicated women of our Collective. Each policy position reflects their expertise, passion, and commitment to creating a more sustainable future for Queensland and beyond. We honour and pay homage to each and every one of these incredible women, who are not only some of Australia’s leading experts in climate and sustainability but also champions of change in their respective fields and communities. This manifesto is a testament to the power of women working together to shape a resilient, sustainable future for all. We invite you to explore the manifesto, share it, and join us in advocating for these essential changes. Together, let’s drive the transition to a sustainable Queensland! Yours in sustainability, Bronwyn Voyce, Cle-Anne Gabriel and Georgine Roodenrys #WomenInSustainability #QueenslandElection #ClimateChange #qldpol #CircularEconomy #NatureRepair #Renewables #SustainableFuture

One of our amazing collaborators Sally-Anne Käsner has teamed up with our friends at Planet Ark to deliver ‘The Circular Business Design Workshop’ as part of the Australian launch of Circo, thanks to Sustainability Victoria. Be one of the first to attend the first 3-day Circular Business Design Workshop (3-5 September) which will be delivered by CIRCO trainers from the Netherlands; or check our the other workshop dates. There's a lot of important work to do to enable the circular transition so the more skilled business owners we have in our circle, the better. Congratulations Paul Klymenko, Nicole T Garofano, PhD, AAIP, Emily Dunstan et. al. for getting this important capacity building initiaitve off the ground; I know it's been a marathon. If you're not in Victoria, you can also reach out to Civic Futures Lab for bespoke Circular Workshops for Executive and Boards and we'd be happy to support. #circulareconomy #circulardesign #circularity #circularityforclimate
