🎉 TGS has officially pulled out of the largest seismic blasting proposal in history, putting an end to the project! This is something our partners at Surfrider Foundation Australia and Ben & Jerry's have been campaigning HARD for. We're so proud to have supported this campaign—and even prouder of the real-world impact the Save Our Southern Sea Film has had. It doesn't get much better than this! That’s 7.7 million hectares of the Southern Ocean saved. As Surfrider Foundation Australia put it so eloquently: "This victory is a testament to the power of relentless community action, countless hours of campaigning, and unwavering dedication. Thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, paddled out, posted, signed, or submitted... While other companies still have proposals to blast, this is a massive victory and sends a strong message to multinational companies that communities will continue to stand up for the protection of the ocean, coastlines and waves they love."
