Last week, everyone was discussing the approaching cyclone Alfred that was expected to make landfall over the weekend. There was a mix of anticipation and unease as all eyes were fixed on the cyclone's track map. One week later, the cyclone was downgraded to a category 1 by the time it eventually made its delayed landfall. The chatter seems to have quietened significantly, and recovery efforts have commenced across various areas. As people begin to return to their homes and businesses, taking stock of the damage caused by ex-Cyclone Alfred, claims have started to come in.
