Applications for the Natural Hazards Detection System (#NHDS) Program Phase 1 are now open.
🌊🔥 Natural Hazards Detection System (NHDS) Program – open for applications 🌊🔥 We are excited to announce that applications for the Natural Hazards Detection System (NHDS) Program Phase 1 are now open. This $3.3 million competitive grant program aims to test innovative detection technologies for natural hazard challenges for floods and fire detection. NHDS is a three-phase grant program: 🔥 Phase 1 - Now Open - Up to $500,000 of funding is available for grants in Phase 1 with a maximum grant amount of $50,000 (excluding GST) per challenge. Phase 1 grants cover eligible expenses over a six-month Proof-of-Concept testing period. 🔥 Phase 2 - Invitation Only - Phase 1 recipients will be invited to apply for further funding of up to $1,750,000, with a maximum of $350,000 per challenge to trial their technology on a large scale in real-world scenarios. 🔥 Phase 3 - Post-NHDS grant - NSW Government will assess the solutions and may consider them for procurement. The Defence Industry Development Grants Program is now open to small and medium enterprises (SMEs): Sovereign Industrial Priorities – closing 30 November Assists SMEs to purchase manufacturing plant and equipment in line with the Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities (SDIPs) described in the Defence Industry Development Strategy. Exports – closing 31 October Supports SMEs to overcome export barriers and help defence industry build scale and competitiveness in the SDIPs. Security – closing 31 October Helps Australian defence industry improve and maintain security in the SDIPs and in line with the Defence Industry Security Program.
