Helping to make a better life for people affected by cancer. We are the charity behind the Dry July campaign.

About us

Dry July Foundation is the registered charity behind the Dry July campaign. We are dedicated to helping to improve the comfort, care and wellbeing of people affected by cancer. Since the first Dry July in 2008, the Dry July campaign has raised over $80 million dollars for people affected by cancer. Funds raised through the Dry July campaign are distributed to cancer organisations across Australia. These organisations provide support services to cancer patients, their families and carers. Like the Dry July Foundation, these organisations depend on the generosity of the community through campaigns like Dry July.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Our National Cancer Appeal has officially begun and we need your help to raise funds so vital programs that support Aussies affected by cancer can continue to run. Dry July Foundation exists to ensure that no matter the cancer type or where they live, people affected by cancer have access to the practical, tangible cancer support services they deserve. The Foundation and the 35+ cancer support organisations (small and large, regional and metro) we fund want to make the lives of those affected by cancer a little easier when they need it most. But these organisations need our help to continue running their cancer support programs. We've committed $250,000 to support these programs, but we need you to help us turn this into $500,000. All donations from TODAY will be matched by Dry July Foundation up to $250,000, and will support 40+ projects delivered by the cancer treatment and support organisations we partner with across Australia. Any donation you can give, big or small, will help make a difference. Head to our website and make a donation today: https://bit.ly/4dYX67P #NationalCancerAppeal #DryJulyFoundation

This year, thanks to our incredible Dry July community, we raised over $7 million to help support people affected by cancer. We are beyond grateful for our Dry Julyers and their donors for making this possible. We know that many Aussies are having a tough time financially this year and that those who are living with cancer face additional physical, emotional, and financial challenges. With over one million people alive in Australia who are currently living with or have lived with cancer, we have identified that there are many more important services and projects that we are unable to fund without your help. To help ease the burden, Dry July Foundation is committing an extra $250,000 to ensure that the cancer organisations we support can continue to provide vital assistance to cancer patients and their families. With this additional funding, next Tuesday we will launch our National Cancer Appeal. All donations from the 29th of October will be matched by Dry July Foundation up to $250,000, and will support projects delivered by the cancer treatment and support organisations we partner with across Australia. Please save this date in your calendar and keep an eye on our socials next Tuesday for more details. Together we will make a difference for those who need our support. #NationalCancerAppeal #DryJulyFoundation

At Dry July, we believe in breaking down barriers, whether it’s for those giving up alcohol to raise funds or ensuring cancer patients have the support they need. On International Day of Sign Languages, we’re proud to support accessible communication for everyone. We encourage workplaces to think about how they can make fundraising and support more inclusive for their teams and communities. #FundraisingForAll #SignLanguage #AccessibilityMatters #DryJuly
