Leaning into innovation is crucial for growth. Delivering jobs for generations to come and value for our shareholders, the recently released ATO Tax Incentive Transparency Report had us at number five in Australia for our spending in Research & Development. Government incentives are an important driver of innovation and change. More businesses should be using incentives like these to grow the economy.

Policy settings must match rising climate risk. More than 60 leading climate scientists have signed a letter by the Lethal Humidity Global Council in support of #RealZero. Our Executive Chairman, Dr Andrew Forrest AO, and Chief Climate Scientist Dr Shanta Barley were pleased to be among the signatories. “We should be focused on real reductions in emissions, rather than engaging in a counting game” — Bill Hare Read more ▶️ https://lnkd.in/eMmyyiTv

His Majesty The King has led a life of profound service to the Commonwealth and inspired global environmental action. Yesterday, our CEO Dino Otranto briefed His Majesty on our ongoing work to decarbonise shipping and drive global uptake of Real Zero fuel standards. We are working with legislators, regulators and industrialists across the Commonwealth to drive practical action for green shipping. We look forward to strong and practical outcomes from ongoing deliberations at the Internarional Maritime Organisation. It is our Commonwealth family which will disproportionately face climate impacts, and it is our shared work which can deliver the real solutions we need. Sustainable Markets Initiative #RealZero

We love starting the financial year off big and this first quarter is no exception! With record Q1 iron ore shipments of 47.7 million tonnes, up 4% compared to Q1 FY24, we couldn’t be happier. 🙂 To make us even more happy, we unveiled our autonomous T 264 truck in Vegas, signed ✍️ a US$2.8 billion partnership with Liebherr Mining to jointly develop and validate a range of zero emission mining solutions, and started construction on our Green Metal Project at Christmas Creek… all in this first quarter. Oh, and to top it all off - we launched our Climate Transition Plan at Climate Week in New York. This externally verified document shows how we are paving the way to Real Zero 2030.

Getting a heavy emitter to Real Zero will require LOTS of green trucks. So we've inked a US$2.8b deal with Liebherr Mining to build the green equipment of the future. Our aim is to reach Real Zero across our iron ore operations by 2030. As we approach #COP29, we urge governments and businesses to lay out ambitious and science-based transition plans for achieving #RealZero emissions by 2040. Read More ➡️ https://fts.cu/3AceZlw

It’s time to get serious about zero emissions technology. What are you waiting for? We spent years demanding for suppliers to offer low-emission options for mining vehicles. They didn’t listen. So we joined hands with Liebherr to develop them. Our new trucks are battery-electric. The first prototypes are already on the field and exceeding their performance goals. By 2030 our fleets will be fully decarbonised. Zero emissions. Zero time to waste. #RealZero is our pledge to fully decarbonise our operations. If we can do it, so can you. Are you in?

In FY24, we committed US$224 million in capital expenditure to decarbonising our Pilbara operations. In FY25, we're upping the ante. This increased commitment will fund our projects to slash greenhouse gas emissions. By 2030, we will introduce zero emissions solutions to our diesel-based mine, port and rail equipment. We will also transition to fully electrified mine sites with no reliance on diesel and other fossil fuels. Read more in our Climate Transition Plan ➡️ https://fts.cu/48gxFgI

"When people can see, touch and feel change - adoption happens". Together with Lord Marland and Antigua’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne, our CEO Dino Otranto laid out our plan for reaching Real Zero emissions. Countries like Antigua are on the frontline of climate change. We stand with them in their demand for accountability from polluters who choose not to decarbonise. Our message to the Commonwealth leaders gathered here in Samoa is clear: with the solutions available and the risks we face, there is no excuse for denial or delay. #RealZero
