Based on the iconic Paul Kelly song and adapted for the screen by Aria award-winning musician Meg Washington and Nick Waterman, How to Make Gravy is a celebration of music and family in time for the holiday season. Filmed with support from Screen Queensland and a stellar cast led by Hugo Weaving, it tells the story of a father separated from his family at Christmas learning about the power of redemption as they prepare to celebrate their first Christmas without him. 💚💛 Aussie Gold Medalists Cate Campbell and Jed Altschwager have been getting on board the blockbuster international netball series as reigning World Champions, the Australian Diamonds, take on England – and with Kayo Freebies, everyone can get on board for the decider this Wednesday 25 September at 6.30 pm. "Anytime an Australian team goes out to compete on the world stage, I'm front, I'm centre, I'm wearing the green and gold, and I'm screaming and cheering for them," says Cate Campbell, who holds eight Olympic medals for swimming and has long been a huge netball fan. "I'm in awe of the athleticism, the skill, the teamwork – there was a little bit of mutual fangirling." "Coming off the back of the whirlwind that was the Paralympics to get the call to come out and support some more green and gold, I absolutely jumped at it," says Jed Altschwager, who just returned from Paris having won Australia's first-ever Gold Medal in Paralympic rowing. "I know I've got a jealous niece at home." As part of our investment in Australian Netball, everyone can watch all three international matches for free through Kayo Freebies. Catch up on demand or watch tonight: https://lnkd.in/gCijsF6r. 🙋♀️💡One of the most important things that Natalie Koster has learned over her career is to have the confidence to ask questions. As a Finance Director at Foxtel Group who joined us having honed her approach at News UK, it's this inquisitiveness that has propelled her career forward. "You need to understand what's in it for the customer," Natalie explains. "Why are they going to buy this product and what would make it even better for them?" Natalie believes that having deep product knowledge is a crucial part of thinking Customer First. She says that it is equally important to understand the business. "Is this the best way to invest our money for today or tomorrow? Where does this drive value for the Foxtel Group? Once you've understood these principles, you can help the business prioritise and come up with the right decisions. "This is particularly important in organisations in disruptive industries where there can often be competing priorities. You need to come up with solutions to help deliver on both fronts." 😈 🐧 A new supervillain has hit the streets of Sydney, as Karl Stefanovic transformed into the iconic Gotham gangster ahead of The Penguin premiering on Foxtel and BINGE on Friday 20 September.   We loved working on this fun activation for one of the year's most highly anticipated new dramas, which brought Karl to the makeup chair to don prosthetics, a thinning hair piece, a purple suit, and a whole lot of bronzer – mirroring Colin Farrell's painstaking makeover into Batman's nemesis for filming.     The Penguin was then spotted prowling the streets in a bright purple Maserati before taking over The Today Show as part of his bid to run this town.    And the campaign continues at Oz Comic-Con over the weekend, where fans can don their own supervillain cosplay and grab photos with the purple Maserati.   #ThePenguin #TheTodayShow #OzComicCon #Foxtel #BINGE #ISawItOnBINGE

Whether it’s in the sporting arena or in media, Guy Sawrey-Cookson, Executive Creative Director of BALBOA, is a man who knows a thing or two about agility – and it’s his belief in the importance of agility that underpins how Foxtel Group’s reimagined creative agency is providing increased career opportunities for our people.   “Sport was BIG in my family,” he recalls fondly, counting the 2003 Rugby World Cup Final in Sydney where he witnessed Jonny Wilkinson’s field goal as the greatest sporting moment of his life.    Over the past 14 years, Guy has built an impressive career at Foxtel Group by leading with an adaptable, forward-thinking mindset, and the creation of BALBOA represents the culmination of his experiences and his vision for a unified creative team.   "We want BALBOA to be known as a place where people can do the best work of their lives," Guy says, explaining that by embracing an inclusive culture where team members can work nimbly across various brands, both internal and external, BALBOA provides staff with increased opportunities to expand their skills, portfolios, and career trajectories.   "His number one reason is ‘this is for my team’. He is always team-first," says Erin Hoffman, BALBOA’s Creative Director, Design, who believes that Guy’s people-first approach has been crucial to the transformation. "He’s a people person, he’s got time for everyone, he knows everyone’s story. That’s his superpower."   #lifeatfoxtelgroup #BALBOA #careers

📽🎬🏞️ Next stop Margaret River – We're thrilled to start production on a third season of The Twelve, delivering a $10 million injection into the Western Australian economy and continuing to spotlight the region through homegrown premium stories. This builds upon the $9.6 million and 650 jobs delivered by The Twelve Season 2, which was the biggest-ever production to take place in WA. With Sam Neill returning to reprise his role of Brett Colby SC, Season 3 will take the story to the Margaret River region and Perth surrounds, including Parliament House and the ABC studios. "The legacy of the production returning to WA for another season enables continuity of work for WA screen practitioners, and more opportunities for people establishing a career in film to pursue opportunities in their home state," said the Hon David Templeman MLA, Minister for Culture and the Arts. “It’s been fantastic to see seasons 1 and 2 of The Twelve take off with both Australian and global audiences, showcasing not only our beautiful country, but also the depth of our local screen production talent," said Michael Brooks, Managing Director of Warner Bros. International Television Production New Zealand and General Manager, ANZ for Warner Bros. Discovery. “The Twelve has been a favourite of Foxtel and BINGE audiences and following that success we’re thrilled to commission a third season of this premium award-winning drama," said Alison Hurbert-Burns, Commissioner & Executive Director, Entertainment Content, Foxtel Group.
