  • Aimee Edwards from B&T spoke with Sophia Mogford, our Head of Scripted and Comedy, ahead of the last night's premiere of Sam Pang Tonight. Sophia said: "Sam is a hugely popular entertainer with a unique, irreverent wit and style that have proven to have excellent cut-through with the Australian audience. “Sam wants to have fun making this series, and we totally support that in a world where warm, entertaining conversation and a good laugh doesn’t come around as often as it should. "This series invites the viewer to draw up a chair and share in Sam’s wry observations on the week’s goings on and lively chats with his guests. No pressure, just enjoyment.” You can read the whole article here 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gxwCZRdq. And watch last night's premiere on 10 Play 😂 https://lnkd.in/gmJtFkEJ #SamPangTonight #10Play #Network10

Hip Hip Hooray! Neighbours celebrates its milestone 40th birthday 🥳 Since its debut in 1985, the residents of Ramsay Street have become household names. Neighbours has served as an extraordinary launch pad for some of Australia’s most successful performers from Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan to Guy Pearce, Natalie Imbruglia, Margot Robbie, and the Hemsworth brothers, plus writers, directors and more. Executive Producer, Jason Herbison said: “We love anniversaries at Neighbours – and the 40th is our biggest yet and that’s cause for celebration. The 40th anniversary is a huge week that tips a hat to all the big soapie twists and turns that our viewers have come to love. It’s fresh and nostalgic at the same time. The events of the week also set us up with great storylines for the months to come.”   Beverley McGarvey, President Network 10 & Head of Streaming, Paramount ANZ, said: "Congratulations to Neighbours on celebrating 40 years on our screens. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the show's significance in television history. It has been a staple of Australian television drama, and Australian cultural exports.   “Ramsay Street, Erinsborough, is a cul-de-sac recognised all over the world and has been home to Scott and Charlene, Des and Daphne, Dr Karl and Susan, Dee and Toadie, Aaron and David and many, many more neighbours.   “Having carved a special place in viewers’ hearts worldwide for four decades, we celebrate and congratulate the cast and crew who have brought the perfect blend of soap and sunshine to audiences. Happy 40th Birthday Neighbours!" With its signature blend of heartwarming storytelling and community spirit, Neighbours has rightfully earned its place as the longest-running drama series in Australian television history.
