Stan and Nine today announced that the Stan Original Series Scrublands: Silver, the second gripping mystery in Chris Hammer's Scrublands trilogy, will premiere April 17, all episodes at once and only on Stan. Filmed in Augusta, Western Australia, Scrublands: Silver sees Luke Arnold  and Bella Heathcote reprise their roles after a critically acclaimed, smash-hit first season. Joining them will be Luke Carroll, Debra Lawrance, David Roberts and Tasma Walton. Cast of the Stan Original Series Ten Pound Poms celebrated the upcoming season return, at a special event at Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach, ahead of International Women's Day.   As Ten Pound Poms returns for a brand new season March 10, its storylines, written and created by the BAFTA award-winning Danny Brocklehurst, shine a light on the restrictions women endured in the 1950s, from bikini bans to being barred from pubs - mirroring historical protests that fought for women's rights in Australia.   To mark the occasion, Stan staged a powerful activation: a reimagining of the 1950s Bondi bikini protest, which drew a huge crowd of curious bystanders at Bondi, Bronte and Coogee beaches. Ten Pound Poms stars Stephen Curry, Tina Bursill, Cheree Cassidy, Maya Stange and Grant Lyndon were joined by 35 women in hand-sourced original 1950s bikinis and swimsuits, styled with period hair and makeup, who stepped off a vintage red double decker bus and marched along the beaches, placards in hand - just as women did decades ago when they fought for the right to wear what they wanted. Stan today released the trailer for the psychological thriller The Surfer starring Academy Award® winner Nicolas Cage (Dream Scenario, Leaving Las Vegas). The Surfer will be released theatrically in Australia on May 15 via Madman Entertainment and CinemaPlus, before streaming exclusively on Stan from June 15 as a Stan Original Film.
