Updates

  • Gartner Rose is delighted to advise the safe and successful completion of the Art Gallery of NSW Lower Level 1 Staff Accommodation project, within the Walter Vernon designed 1897 neo-classical building now called the Naala Nura building. This project involved significant refurbishment works to the existing lower and upper levels of the old library space, adjacent existing workshop and back of house areas, to provide office, amenities and light workshop accommodation for Gallery staff. All works were completed within a live environment, with the Art Gallery of NSW remaining accessible and operational, with minimal disruption to staff and visitors during the construction works, whilst also being mindful of the sensitive heritage aspects of the building. Congratulations to everyone for bringing this project to a safe completion. We extend a special thanks to the project team from the Art Gallery lead by Mark Brandon, their designer Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, our designers DesignInc Sydney, JHA Consulting Engineers, and TTW, all our subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Gartner Rose is delighted to announce the safe and successful completion of the Matraville Youth and Cultural Hall for Randwick City Council. This project involved the demolition of the existing building and construction of the new facility, with a Cross Laminated Timber structure - both environmentally sustainable as well as visually stunning. The "Warmboard" underfloor heating also has a very low carbon footprint, and for the first time Gartner Rose installed EV charging points for public usage. Thanks to our subcontractors and suppliers, the project team from Randwick City Council, and Sam Crawford Architects for the spectacular design.
