Top field day yesterday at #Wilandra Farms in #Clydebank. The event, which took place under blue skies and bright #solar sunshine, was organised by Agriculture Victoria in conjunction with West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority. Hosts Sandra Jefford and Wilco Droppert provided attendees with a comprehensive perspective into the ways #solarpower has positively impacted multiple aspects of their farming operation. Wilco and Sandra are known throughout the #Gippsland food and fibre sector for their generosity in sharing lessons learned during their extensive solar journey. Yesterday was no exception, with field day participants hearing about the infrastructure, technology, efficiency and methodology of solar irrigation. Sandra and Wilco, whose dairy farm won the Gippsland Food and Fibre Awards #Sustainability prize in May, are keen for others to benefit from the knowledge they have gathered over a number of years.
