We are proud of our role as being a trusted partner for students and our organisations. More than 2,000 students tuned in to hear advice from industry leaders in UK and India including Jamie Arrowsmith, Universities UK International; Piyush Kumar, IDP India; Sanam Arora, National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK; Alison Barrett MBE, British Council India; Professor Anton Muscatelli. University of Glasgow; Professor Adam Tickell, University of Birmingham and Rachel MacSween, IDP Education, UK and Ireland.
We’re always looking at ways to reinvigorate UK-bound demand from the India market at IDP, and our student webinar yesterday’s was a firm reminder of all the many excellent reasons students would choose to come and study at our universities. A huge thanks to Sir Steve Smith (UK International Education Champion), Jamie Arrowsmith (Universities UK International) Piyush Kumar (IDP Education Ltd) Sanam Arora (National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK) Alison Barrett MBE (British Council, New Delhi, India) Professor Anton Muscatelli (University of Glasgow) and Professor Adam Tickell (University of Birmingham) who made up an inspiring panel, telling students, parents and IDP counsellors directly why our UK universities remain the best in the world, offering life-changing study experiences in supportive, friendly, inclusive learning environments. A massive additional thank you to UUKI for arranging a special video message from the Minister for Skills, The Rt Hon the Baroness of Malvern which attendees were treated to at the start of the call. The UK has faced a few years of turbulent student recruitment in the international space. With major policy decisions now made, and conditions largely in our favour, our institutions are in a great place to offer students the study experience they have spent their lives dreaming about.
