What does a modern parental leave policy look like? Well, we’re excited to share an important update as we launch Impact Co.’s Parenthood Policy. This policy (and the entitlements therein) reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting employees through all stages of parenthood while ensuring fairness and flexibility for our team ⭐ One big focus of this revision is Parenthood, rather than Maternity. The Victorian Gender Equality Commission have indicated that parental leave inequality (only 12% of men adopt the role of primary carer) is one of the biggest contributors to the gender pay gap. Along with other entitlements and clarifications around IVF, donor parents, and return to work accommodations, this new policy reflects our ongoing commitment to be the change we want to see in the world. These updates ensure greater support, flexibility, and financial security for our team members navigating parenthood while keeping our policies fair and equitable for all. Considering elements such as IVF, donation, surrogacy, and other means of parenthood, the new policy is holistically modern and we hope will empower all team members to balance career and personal ambitions simultaneously ✔️ #socialimpactconsulting #impactamplifed #health #mentalhealth #FirstNations #socialservices #parenthood #policy

  • Last week, Jacqui Mckenzie and Tilda Wise visited Bega Garnbirringu Health Service in Kalgoorlie on a crucial project to develop an Operating Procedure for their Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Pilot Program. Bega Garnbirringu provides vital, culturally appropriate and holistic health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. In Kalgoorlie, the proportion of the population who are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander is more than double the national average, highlighting the need for targeted and culturally sensitive mental health and wellbeing services. The SEWB program delivered by Bega Garnbirringu offers brief intervention, counselling and outreach support to clients, making a real difference in the community. We’re honoured and extremely proud to be working with Bega Garnbirringu to support this important work.
