A fast track to fun. Yesterday evening Team ING hit the ground running, joining more than 12k participants for the 5.6km J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge around Centennial Park, in support of the Indigenous Marathon Foundation. Congratulations to all our runners and walkers for taking part. #INGLife

Every year ING team members receive a paid Impact Day to use volunteering for a cause they care about. Last week more than 100 of our team from our Sydney and Wyong offices spent time supporting the important work of OzHarvest, IndigiGrow, Coast Shelter, Landcare Australia, Kids Giving Back and The Salvation Army Australia. We’re so grateful to have these wonderful organisations supporting our community and caring for our environment here in Australia. #DoYourThing

Empowering teams to solve customer problems – that’s what Customer Day is all about at ING. A day where teams come together to work on CX initiatives - hackathon style - to help deliver brilliant experiences for customers.    More than 600 team members took part in one of the following activities across Sydney and Wyong:   1 x Business-wide Customer Day themed town hall, hosted by Melanie Evans, featuring customer facing team members 🙋♀️ 30 x Teams working on CX ideas – some delivered on the day, others shortly afterwards 💡 3 x Mini-masterclass information sessions on customer segments 🔎 1 x Call listening session to help team members get closer to customers and their needs ☎️   And of course, it wouldn’t be Customer Day without an appearance from Roary the Lion! 🦁

Recently we celebrated the finalists of The Walkley Foundation's Business Journalism Awards at an ING-sponsored luncheon with the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Andrew Hauser and our CEO, Melanie Evans.   For more than a decade, ING Australia has supported excellence in Australian business journalism through our ongoing partnership with The Walkley Foundation for Journalism. At ING, we're ensuring our team has the opportunity to learn and develop the skills needed to be successful now and in the future. Our recent COO Days brought this to life by focusing on specific future capabilities for 1,000 team members in our Chief Operations Office function across Sydney, Wyong and remote workers. Attendees learned how they could develop their skills in E2E #processmanagement, #customerexperience, #drivingchange, #datafluency, #digitalsavviness and #operationalresilience. All designed to make us more effective, more relevant, and more flexible, whatever the future brings.
