Last night, we were proud to attend the Chief Executive Women (CEW) 40th Anniversary dinner, celebrating the progress of women in leadership and the power of a strong network. Our team had the privilege of hearing from inspiring female leaders who are helping to drive equality in corporate Australia. But there’s still more to do. At ING, we’re committed to driving gender equality and have over 40% women in senior leadership roles. Our focus is now on developing our female talent pipeline from mid-level roles to have the opportunity to become senior leaders. Progress is happening—let’s keep pushing forward. #Leadership #WomenInBusiness #CEWDinner #GenderEquality
About us
We exist to empower people to stay ahead, in business and in life. We’re proud to be part of ING Group, the world’s leading direct savings bank – and even prouder to be Australia’s most recommended bank. That’s because, for us, nothing matters more than being loved by our customers. Since we started out in 1999, we’ve reinvented the way Australians do their banking by delivering products that are simple, and good value – from Everyday Banking and Savings, to straightforward Home Loans and Super. With our 24/7 customer care and digital platforms, we’ve also given customers support round the clock – plus the freedom to do their banking anywhere, anytime. The driving force behind all of this has been simple: our desire to improve our customers’ lives by doing things differently. Everyone here shares the same forward-thinking approach, and a genuine desire to make a difference to the communities we’re part of. If you’re ready to be challenged to achieve your full potential, we are the place to make it happen. Here, you’ll have the freedom to put ideas into action, own the results, collaborate on a global scale – and make a genuine difference to people’s lives. Like to find out more? Roaring into 2025 with purpose. This month we brought 1600 team members together across Sydney and Wyong to reflect on 2024 and look at opportunities to help more customers in 2025. Melanie Evans shared the key priorities for the year, and was joined by Pinar Abay to talk about the important role Australia plays in ING’s global ambition to Be First. We also heard from ExCo and senior leaders on the innovations in technology, products and business lines that will help us become Australia’s most loved mobile-led bank. 2025 is shaping up to be another exciting year for customers and teammates. The best is yet to come.

To continue our International Women’s Day celebrations, ING’s gender equity communities Sparks and Lioness, invited Behavioural Scientist and Leadership Coach Penny Locaso for a keynote. Drawing from her recently published study, “Hidden Figures” Penny inspired us all talking about how women can change their relationship with the word ‘expert’ to empower themselves, increase their influence and make an impact. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #GenderEquality

It’s global Sustainability Week at ING, a time to learn, have fun and showcase our climate and social impact ambitions. Hundreds of our team mates here at ING Australia took part in the Sustainability Smarts competition, the Sustainability spin off and the Home Energy Helpdesk. As society transitions to a low-carbon economy, so do our clients, and so does ING. Even though we finance a lot of sustainable activities, we still finance more that aren’t. There’s more work to be done, so follow our progress at https://lnkd.in/e8btP5WS.

As part of our International Women’s Day celebrations, we’re focusing on women at ING who are living this year’s theme of ‘Marching Forward’ with their careers and the positive impact they have on those around them. We caught up with Sireesha Potnuru, Chapter Lead Engineer working on ING’s Future of Mobile project, and member of ING's Aspire Women in Leadership program. #IWD2025 #WomeninTech #Leadership #INGLife

‘Have courage, go beyond what has been, to what could be’. This was the message from special guest and 2024 Australian of the Year, Professor Georgina Long AO, who joined us for an International Women’s Day breakfast alongside some of ING’s partners, clients, and teammates. Georgina shared stories of her experience in driving gender equality as a leading medical oncologist, sought-after media commentator, passionate advocate of women working in STEM, and mum to three girls. Georgina believes ‘our lasting legacies grow as we grow; it’s the impact of what we leave behind for those that follow us’. An important message for everyone, not just women, to help drive societal change for the better. #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay
