At Lifeline WA, we are deeply grateful for the ongoing and generous support of the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, enabling us to continue our work in crisis support. The significant grant ensures that our Telephone Crisis Supporters have the training and resources to be there for those seeking help—offering hope, connection, and a listening ear 24/7. The commitment goes beyond financial support. Some of the Foundation staff have undertaken training to enable them to volunteer their time to be there for those in crisis. This generosity reflects the Foundation’s deep values—supporting the wellbeing of the WA community, focusing on solutions, and encouraging service above self. Their impact reaches far beyond funding; it creates a lifeline for people in crisis. Thank you to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, for making a real difference in the lives of Western Australians. #LifelineWA #CrisisSupport #ThankYouStanPerron #CommunityImpact #MentalHealthMatters #ServiceAboveSelf

Thanks once again to Santos Ltd for the IWD morning tea where Lorna was interviewed by Suzannah Browning, Senior Corporate Counsel, on her career journey and the importance of workplace diversity. This year’s IWD theme, "March Forward," is a powerful reminder that progress requires action—ensuring every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive. It was inspiring to be part of the conversation that champions real change, beyond just one day. Fostering these important discussions and continuing to drive inclusion and equality in the workplace. #IWD2025 #MarchForward #DiversityAndInclusion #Leadership #ThankYouSantos

Investing in Lifesaving Support The impact of a single conversation can be life changing. Thanks to Emeco Group’s support, we can train two Telephone Crisis Supporters so they can join our frontline team—expanding our capacity to provide critical, 24/7 mental health crisis intervention. Each crisis supporter undergoes months of intensive training to ensure they are fully equipped to offer guidance, compassion, and hope to those in distress. With every new volunteer, we strengthen our ability to respond, ensuring no one in crisis has to face it alone. Emeco’s investment in training doesn’t just help individuals—it builds a stronger, more resilient community. We are proud to partner with a company that understands the power of optimisation—not just in mining, but in human potential. #Emeco #LifelineWA #CrisisSupport #MentalHealthMatters #SuicidePrevention #CommunityImpact #PowerofConnection

Building Mental Health Support in Exmouth With the support of Santos Ltd, our dedicated Lifeline WA Workplace Trainer, Rebecca, recently travelled north to deliver Accidental Counsellor training to the Shire of Exmouth and Exmouth Chamber of Commerce. This invaluable training equips participants with practical skills and the "Recognise, Respond, Refer" framework, empowering them to support friends, family, colleagues, and even strangers in distress—bridging the gap until professional help is available. Beyond training, community engagement is key. We had a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and reduce stigma in a high-traffic spot outside Exmouth IGA—ensuring more people know about the critical support Lifeline WA provides. A huge thank you to Santos for their commitment to regional mental health initiatives and for funding the training of our Telephone Crisis Supporters. Partnerships like these ensure lifesaving support is available across WA—where and when it’s needed most. #Santos #ShireOfExmouth #ExmouthCCI #LifelineWA #MentalHealthMatters #CommunitySupport #AccidentalCounsellor #CrisisSupport #PowerofConnection

Thank you to MARS Program for their generous grant, enabling us to provide vital mental health support to the resources sector in WA. Studies show that workers in the resources sector are at increased risk of burnout and psychological distress compared with other industries. Investing in mental health not only supports workers but also benefits businesses, which leads to improved productivity, higher participation, fewer compensation claims, and reduced costs. Our Resourceful Mind program was developed in response to research identifying the unique mental health risks faced by resource sector workers. The program trains peer supporters, known as "Minders," equipping them to assist colleagues in navigating life and work challenges. Through a virtual membership program, Minders receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure they can provide meaningful assistance when it’s needed. We appreciate the support from the Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) program that ensures the program reaches more businesses in WA.
