Ever watched a 60-minute makeover show? One moment, a space looks dull, uninspiring, and tired. Then, in a short amount of time, it’s completely transformed into something vibrant, functional, and full of life. Now, imagine doing the same for your data. We love turning bland, static data into dynamic, engaging visuals that capture attention. Just like a home renovation, we take your raw data and breathe life and colour into it. A great example of this is our work with Rebel Girls. They conducted a survey of Gen Alpha girls but wanted to engage their audience with visuals that would stand out and be something they actually engage with. We've been running school stakeholder studies for years. But a question we're always asked after delivering results is "How does this compare to other schools?" Because a lot of school surveys are custom and bespoke, it's hard to give an answer that is true to one metric. That's why we've developed the Thriving Schools Index (TSI). The TSI allows you to measure your school's community and gather data from key stakeholders including parents, staff and students and compare the results against national data. Through this, you'll have a better understanding of the health of your school across key stakeholders and rely on benchmarked insights to see performance gaps and strengths. Starting in Austin, Texas, South By Southwest (SXSW) is an annual conference that invites forward thinking leaders, cutting edge thinkers as well as the media world of music, film and gaming to present ideas and innovative ways of thinking. This year is the second iteration of the conference in Sydney, and Mark McCrindle and Ashley Fell will be presenting. The SXWS theme this year is "The future belongs to the curious" and as generational experts they'll be presenting on Generation Alpha and the world towards 2050. The conference is next week, so if you're there we hope you can catch the presentation at the Tech & Innovation expo on Thursday the 17th of October.

Chances are Generation X, born between 1965 and 1979, grew up eating a sandwich for lunch from their school lunch box. Every. Single. Day. The sandwich might have been peanut butter, vegemite or a ham sandwich. It might have been a bit more glamourous with chicken, or deli meats and salad. Or some odd concoction of peanut butter, jam, and/or honey. Most likely it wasn’t that memorable, but it was filling. Sandwiches often are. Sandwiches are a great way to describe Generation X. Why? Because Gen X are the filling in society’s multi-generational sandwich. They are squished between older generations like the Baby Boomers/Builders, and the Gen Ys, Gen Zs and Gen Alphas. They are most likely caring up and caring down. Caring for ageing parents, while also raising Gen Z as teens and young adults in a world that is vastly different to when they were emerging adolescents. But who is Generation X and why does this matter?
