  • Minderoo and our largest partner, Co-Impact, featured in Forbes Australia last weekend in a story on our shared mission to tackle gender inequality at its roots. Our Executive Director of Gender Equality, Jacqui Joudo Larsen, put it best: "You can’t change attitudes and norms overnight. You can’t change them in three years. These are long-term projects to remove structural barriers and effectively shift power and resources." That’s why this partnership is so critical. By supporting women-led changemakers in the Global South, through Co-Impact's Gender Fund, we’re working to remove systemic barriers and drive real, lasting impact together. • We’re proud to partner with the Ngangk Yira Institute for Change at Murdoch University to support a $3 million program over three years that strengthens culturally safe healthcare for Aboriginal children and families in Western Australia. Led by Professor Rhonda Marriott and her team, this work builds on over a decade of research, shaping new maternity practices, innovative patient engagement models, and valuable health resources. By expanding successful initiatives like Baby Coming You Ready and ICARE, and developing new programs, this partnership aims to meet the needs of Aboriginal families. Collaboration is key, and we’re grateful to work alongside Ngangk Yira, government, health services, and Aboriginal community leaders to help create lasting change.

  • Dr. Andrew Forrest is in London this week for the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI), where Minderoo Foundation is driving critical conversations on sustainability and global impact. Founded by His Majesty King Charles III, the SMI is dedicated to putting Nature, People, and Planet at the heart of global value creation. The Terra Carta Exhibition marks five years of mobilising trillions for sustainable solutions, proving that the private sector has a critical role in shaping a better future.🌍 At Hampton Court Palace, we launched the SMI Pacific Hub with a roundtable on empowering Pacific & Small Island Developing States for a Sustainable Future. Key takeaways: ✅ Aligning climate action with economic growth – Climate policies should drive economic development, not hinder it. Sustainable business models and investments can fuel prosperity while reducing environmental impact. ✅ Scaling tech & innovation through partnerships – Renewable energy and clean technology advancements depend on strong public-private collaborations. Strategic partnerships speed up the adoption of solutions tailored to the Pacific’s needs. ✅ Strengthening the Pacific’s voice in global climate decision making– Pacific nations are on the frontline of climate change. Ensuring their voices shape global policies is key to securing a resilient and sustainable future. In Canary Wharf, we engaged with the next generation of sustainability leaders. Through partnerships with Better Planet Education and Atlantic Pacific International Rescue Ltd, we held climate talks to spark ideas and led hands-on sustainability activities. Collaboration and leadership are key to a sustainable future. Bold action will shape the path forward.

  • Gender equality benefits everyone - and as Aussies, we need a robust look at the system change that needs to happen for women and girls to be empowered and reach equality. It's important to celebrate women's achievements, and it's important to reflect on the intersectionality and myriad of experiences that make up each and every woman in our society and why so many women are held back by our current system. In Australia and globally we have come so far, but still have a long way to go. Ahead of International Women's Day, and every day, we strive to meet more women, hear more stories, and be a productive lever towards achieving equality for the benefit of all Australians.

  • Nine extraordinary WA artists have been selected to develop ambitious new projects through the Minderoo Artist Fund. From an electronic music album recorded on Country in the Kimberley to a major sculpture and puppetry event in the Wheatbelt, their work will foster connection, creativity, and community impact. When artists thrive, communities thrive. Join us in celebrating these artists and their contributions to WA’s vibrant arts landscape! #waartists #artsfunding #communityimpact #creativefuture

  • Today we have announced we are deepening our commitment to Ukraine, building on our AU$20M in aid with an additional AU$5M package. The additional funding will: ➡️ Remove more land mines in agricultural areas near schools ➡️ Support war-affected households with microfinance and entrepreneurship ➡️ Strengthen peacebuilding and community cohesion Dr Andrew Forrest stands resolutely with the Ukrainian people. “Looking forward, Ukraine has the capability to draw on her deep pools of talent, vast natural resources and remarkable resilience to drive a powerful economic recovery.” Nicola Forrest said that demining is a humanitarian and economic imperative. “Minderoo will scale our demining support to release contaminated land for agricultural productivity, focusing on women-headed families left widowed in frontline communities, and make schools safe for children to return to.” Stay informed about our work and ways to take action - sign up for our e-newsletter today 👉 https://lnkd.in/gbEWYnF8

  • Big problems need bold ideas and even greater collaboration. Enter Co-Impact's Gender Fund - the joint philanthropic fund with the goal to raise US $1B in ten years to change the lives of 100 million people. Ambitious? Yes. But together, anything is possible. This week, we welcomed our largest partner, Co-Impact, to Australia to help them show that when we invest in women and girls, we change the world for the better. Across a roadshow of events with some of the nation's most progressive, inclusive, and compassionate leaders, we discussed what the future looks like when you combine effective philanthropy in Australia with systems level change in the world. To change the game, we must think differently - Australian philanthropy has a unique role to play, now more than ever! It’s time to step up together as global citizens and help to change the unfair systems that disadvantage women and girls around the world. No one organisation can do it alone – our power is stronger together. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dQ_ffF8
