"20 years ago I was terrified of MS. Now I say, bring it on!"✨ Kate, a passionate true-crime enthusiast and fashion lover, has been thriving at MSWA’s Butler accommodation facility for the past six years. Her journey with multiple sclerosis (MS) began nearly 20 years ago, but the support she’s received from MSWA turned what was once a daunting diagnosis into a story of positivity, resilience, and community. “I didn’t know much about MS when I was diagnosed,” Kate shares, “but MSWA has helped me every step of the way, from my diagnosis to today living in Butler. Knowing I had a team of experts beside me has made all the difference.” Thanks to MSWA, Kate has accessed life-changing services like hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, tailored to her unique needs. The dedicated staff at Butler provide the warmth of family, skilled in empowering her to live her best life and continue doing what she loves most. This holiday season, consider making a tax-deductible gift. Every donation ensures that MSWA can continue to transform lives, allowing people to live life, not limits. 80 years of connection! 🤝 This week at Wilson Outreach we marked the 80th anniversary of the first Occupational Therapists Club in Australia and celebrated our wonderful OT’s and all their hard work at MSWA. Curtin University OT Student Ciara Thackray hosted a very informative presentation about what MSWA OTs do, the benefits of Occupational Therapy and how we can utilise assistive technology in our daily life and of course, there was a morning tea to follow. Thank you to all our OTs for your dedication and making a real difference to our Client’s lives ❤️ Occupational Therapy Australia #OTWeek2024 #80YearsOfConnection
