About us

The National Farmers' Federation (NFF) is the peak national body representing farmers, and more broadly, agriculture across Australia. We are one of Australia's most respected advocacy organisations, and exist to fight for the future of Australia's farmers and farm sector. Since our formation in 1979, and with the support of our 27 member organisations, we have earned a reputation as a leader in the development and achievement of policy outcomes, championing issues affecting Australia's 157,000 farmers and helping to advance Australian agriculture. farmers.org.au I agday.org.au I talking2030.com

  • Tonight’s Federal Budget may have been underwhelming for agriculture, but we are focused on the election ahead and making sure all parties step up to the plate and keep Aussie farmers farming. “While we acknowledge some new funding targeting the sector – especially the $3.5 million for a National Food Security Strategy, a key election ask – the budget falls well short of the investment needed to unlock agriculture’s full potential.” – NFF President David 'DJ' Jochinke. • " Families in my local town have been fighting for child care for over 40 years." The NFF is urging the Federal Government to develop more flexible policy options to support rural families needing child care. Ahead of the Federal Election, we urge politicians to commit to the provision and accessibility of family day-care and in-home care for rural families. These out-of-the-box methods can be more sustainable than traditional child care centres in rural, regional and remote locations. The Parenthood ICPA Aust - Isolated Children's Parents' Association
