Neumann Space reached a significant milestone last week, which will see the #NeumannDrive ND-50 fly on the #EDISON mission, set to launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 in November 2024. Following integration of our propulsion system in Aalborg, Denmark, our partner Space Inventor successfully completed the crucial European Space Agency - ESA Flight Acceptance Review (FAR) for its EDISON spacecraft. Funded by ESA under the innovative Pioneer program, this mission aims to evaluate and support qualified providers of pioneering space-based services. This flight will be the inaugural in-orbit demonstration of the ND-50. This Electric Propulsion system includes significant improvements on our first-generation Neumann Drive which gained flight heritage in 2023. Thanks to The Aerospace Corporation and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration for inviting us to present the DiskSat modular Neumann Drive solution. This flat version of our Electric Propulsion system is uniquely suited for thin flat satellite and also offers flexibility for integration into more traditional satellites. Great to have our Chief Engineer, Steven Despotellis, presenting the work we do on "Electromagnetic Interactions (EMI) Test Procedure for a Centre-Triggered Pulsed Cathodic Arc Thruster" at #SmallSat2024. This project involves testing the #NeumannDrive with our partners, the French National Space Agency CNES and REDARC Defence & Space.
