🚀 Defence Trailblazer and Space Machines Company to develop space proximity operations technology to defend space assets! Defence Trailblazer has funded a crucial project led by Space Machines Company to develop advanced space-borne perception and intelligence technology. This initiative will enhance our ability to protect and monitor space assets through innovative proximity operations technology. Working alongside the University of Adelaide's Sentient Satellites Laboratory, SmartSat CRC, and Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) Group's Space Control STC, we're addressing a critical gap in Australia's space capabilities. The project will establish Australia's first orbital robotics testbed, enabling the development of technology for satellite servicing, space debris management, and enhanced space domain awareness. This aligns perfectly with our national defence priorities and demonstrates Australia's growing commitment to sovereign space capabilities. 🤝 Space MAITRI: Where Partnership Meets Precision 🚀 Milestone week at SDSC-SHAR (Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota) as our teams met for the first time to advance the Space MAITRI mission. True to its name ("maitri" meaning friendship in Hindi), this collaboration exemplifies how international partnerships drive space innovation. Through intensive technical exchanges at the launch complex, we: ✅ Validated facility configurations for our unique mission requirements. ✅ Optimized SSLV launch sequence timing and spacecraft integration procedures. ✅ Established mission-specific decontamination protocols. ✅ Mapped end-to-end launch campaign architecture with SHAR's expert team.  ✅ Developed contingency response procedures through collaborative simulation. The hands-on experience at SHAR's world-class facilities provided crucial insights that will enhance our mission's technical readiness. Most importantly, we've built the foundation for a strong partnership that will carry us through launch and beyond. Special thanks to the SHAR team for their exceptional technical expertise and collaborative spirit. 👩🏼🔬Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGS), a significant milestone in the global effort to promote gender equality and women's empowerment. Gender equality in science is crucial for building a better future for all, yet women and girls continue to face systemic barriers and biases in pursuing scientific careers.👩🏼🚀 🛰️Space Machines Company is honoured to have a group of brilliant female engineers in our team, including: Holly Wardlaw, Vehicle Engineer: Works on the design of the spacecraft structure, and component layout and will also be involved in the manufacture, testing, and assembly of the vehicle later this year. Saloni Parekh, Propulsion Engineer: Design, testing, and assembly of propulsion systems and hardware, while also supporting ground infrastructure development and test campaigns. Liv Heaton, Junior Electronics Engineer: Designs electronic hardware for high speed devices including advanced imaging and camera systems for space applications.
