This #FeelGoodFriday is a real tail of adventure! Gus the Kelpie was feeling particularly cheeky when he dashed away from his owners to explore the rocks at Clovelly. However, his journey took a turn when he found himself stuck as the tide rose and the swell picked up 🌊 Fortunately, thanks to our Police Rescue officers, Gus was safely retrieved by a vertical rescue. Given his clearly adventurous spirit, we’re confident Gus relished in living life on the edge (literally), but we wouldn't recommend he do it again! 🐕⛰️🚨 As we head into the warmer months, let’s remember the importance of safety for not only ourselves, but also our pets and little ones near the water! ☀️

It’s time to bid farewell to PD Force! 🐾 PD Force was purchased by the Dog Unit in 2017 and was allocated to his handler at just 8 months old. The pair quickly proved they were a force to be reckoned with, and PD Force became a fully accredited Police Dog in August 2018. Over the years, his keen sense of smell and unwavering determination have led to successful outcomes in some of the most challenging situations, including locating several missing persons and making countless arrests. From his handler... "Force is the perfect Police dog and perfect partner, who has given me a level of confidence I never thought possible, purely based on his ability. Force never took a backward step and always led from the front, locating numerous offenders that without him would've gone unfound. My family and I will always be grateful for him keeping me safe.” 💙🙏 Here’s to a future filled with belly rubs, treats, and endless playtime mate! 🎉🐶✨🎾

This rescue story is what #FeelGoodFriday is all about! ✨🥳 What began as a peaceful bushwalk on a Thursday afternoon quickly turned into a large-scale search operation, when 82-year-old John got lost on the Birdwood Gully track in Springwood. With no food, drink, or warm clothing, the search for him became urgent. The NSW Police Force's Rescue & Bomb Disposal Unit, General Duties Police and Detectives from Blue Mountains PAC, PolAir and the Dog Unit, as well as NSW Ambulance , NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW State Emergency Service sprung into action and safely found John in the early hours of Friday morning, luckily with only minor cuts. 🚓🚁🚑🐕🦺 A week after his rescue, he was reunited with all those who helped bring him home. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of teamwork, and this reunion is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and compassion of everyone involved. 💙 As we head into summer, let’s remember the importance of safety when bushwalking. Informing someone of your route and your expected return time, just like John did, can make all the difference in an emergency! ☀️🥾⛰🌳

Drug and Firearms Squad detectives have seized over 100 firearms and charged multiple people following an investigation into the supply of fraudulent documents used to obtain firearms licences. Detectives will allege in court the group supplied fraudulent permission to shoot documents for a fee which allowed members of the public – some with possible criminal links – to obtain firearms licences. Investigations under Strike Force Excavator continue. MORE INFORMATION ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gxsrtms6

Roll up your sleeves this #FeelGoodFriday and give the gift of life! 🩸❤️ In November last year, young Artaban faced an unimaginable ordeal when he fell 15 metres down a cliff between Manly and Freshwater Beach. Artaban was rushed to the Sydney Children's Hospital, where he underwent six life-saving surgeries within 24 hours, and received 62 units of blood. His survival is nothing short of a miracle 🌟, thanks to his quick-thinking friends, lifeguards 🛟, police 👮♂️, surgeons 🩺, and the generous blood donors who helped save his life. 🙌 Recently in Queenscliff, Artaban and his family were reunited with the amazing police officers who were first on the scene and ensured he got to hospital in time. 👏👪👮♀️ If you’re inspired by Artaban’s story, you too can make a difference! Australia needs 100,000 new donors – and we all have a reason to give. Find your reason and make a booking at your local Australian Red Cross Lifeblood centre ❤️ donateblood.page.link/yk2a

What a fantastic weekend at the Koori Knockout 🏆🏉 💛❤🖤 The tournament brought together 140 teams across multiple age groups, with around 30,000 people attending over the long weekend. It was an absolute privilege to be part of such a fantastic event, witnessing so many talented Indigenous athletes and communities coming together for Rugby League and meaningful engagement. Congrats to all the winners, especially the Redfern All Blacks, who took the first-grade women’s title, and the Walgett Aboriginal Connection, securing back-to-back men’s first-grade victories! 🏉🎉🙌
