The Consolidated Mining Standard Initiative is simplifying this by uniting the standards of ICMM, The Copper Mark, World Gold Council, and Mining Association of Canada, promoting better environmental, social, and governance practices across the metals value chain. 🥇 We are beyond proud of our New Zealand team for winning first place in the Fire Fighting category and achieving third place overall in the 2024 South Australian Mines Emergency Response Competition (SAMERC). Our New Zealand team competed for the first time across 10 scenarios designed to test their skills and knowledge of a mine emergency. The competition took place last weekend in the town of Roxby Downs and Olympic Dam Mine, South Australia. Big news out of New Zealand this weekend. Our Waihi North Project, which includes the highly prospective Wharekirauponga (WKP) proposed underground mine, as well as our Macraes Phase 4 Project, which includes a number of extensions to our existing Macraes underground and open pit mines and related infrastructure, were named as projects eligible to apply for approval via the proposed Fast-track Approvals Act. #OGC #GoldMining #InvestInGold

We announced some exciting drill results today at our Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina, USA. Gerard Bond, President & CEO of OceanaGold, said “Today’s outstanding resource conversion and definition drill results support our goal of delineating 2 million ounces underground at Haile by the end of this year. Infill drill results at Ledbetter Phase 4 are exceptional in width and grade and inform the work evaluating whether to mine the last phase of Ledbetter from underground.
