In recognition of International Women’s Day, I had the privilege of attending and presenting at Haileybury to discuss my journey through school, university and my current work at onemilegrid as a traffic engineer! It was such a valuable and rewarding experience to provide an insight into both life and work once finishing school, graduating university and stepping into the world of engineering. A big thank you to Haileybury for the opportunity to share my experience, and in particular shine a light on the importance of this day and join the students to celebrate IWD 💜

Taking a group of riders and support crew to tackle riding 1000km each year in a different location to raise funds for childhood cancer research brings a number of logistical challenges. As part of the Ride for Lily, each year a traffic management plan needs to be created, to keep our riders and support crew safe. Thank you to the team at onemilegrid who generously donate their time and expertise in this area to Live for Lily. We are all ready to go for the Pedal to Paradise in 3 weeks and we truly appreciate the skills and support from onemilegrid 🚴🏻♀️ 🚴♂️ 🚙 https://lnkd.in/gD_QqFcH

  • onemilegrid are proud to be a #carbonneutral business ♻ 🌱🌞 As part of our ongoing accreditation from Climate Active, we do an annual inventory of emissions generated from our operations. From our starting year in FY21, our emissions have dropped from 59 tonnes of CO2 down to just 35 tonnes in this past FY24, representing a 40% reduction. We’ve seen the biggest reductions in our emissions by switching entirely to green power, which means our energy needs are guaranteed to be supplied from renewable sources. This is also a great way to shift the needle and ensure continued growth and investment in the renewable energy sector. We will offset these emissions with renewable energy projects, and have supplemented these with the planting of native, biodiverse forest in Victoria and Queensland, that are to be protected for 100 years to effectively double our carbon offsets! You can read more about our operations and offsetting here: https://lnkd.in/gvGJhrqS Get in touch with James Dear if you want to learn more about our journey to carbon neutral. #ClimateAction #GreenEnergy #SustainableBusiness

  • onemilegrid is thrilled to announce the launch of our Green Travel Rebate Program! 💚 🚴♂️🚶♀️🚌 💚 We are proud to say that 70% of our staff already commute to work by means other than the car such as walking, cycling and public transport and we believe it’s time to reward these eco-friendly choices and inspire even more sustainable habits. This exciting initiative aims to recognise and encourage sustainable travel habits among our team, with the goal to reward those who are using the most sustainable modes of travel and to try and encourage others to change their travel habits. Our rebate program reimburses staff based on the distance travelled and level of sustainability of the chosen travel mode. This means the greener your commute, the greater your reward! Feel free to reach out to learn more about our rebate program. Let’s work together to promote a more sustainable future! 🌍 #GreenTravel #Sustainability #Practicewhatyoupreach
