In Australia, the gap between those who can manage rising costs and those being left behind is growing. The Foodbank Hunger Report 2024, released today, uncovers a confronting reality: 2 million households have faced severe food insecurity this year. That could include your neighbours, friends, family members, or coworkers. It’s a heartbreaking figure that shines a light on the daily struggles of too many Australians wondering where their next meal will come from. Find out more about the hunger crisis in Australia by visiting our website. #EndHunger #FHR24 #HungerReport #ZeroHunger

Getting B Corp certified last year was a huge achievement – and it was no easy feat. But just because we reached our goal, doesn’t mean we stop there. We’re in this for the long haul. That’s why we’re committed to organisations like Foodbank and Thankful4Farmers. To ensure we are actively supporting those that provide for the needs of the community – now and in the future. By working with Foodbank, we’re helping nourish those in need with healthy, nutritious food staples. Over 100,000kg of our Red Tractor products will be making their way into the hands – and homes – of Aussies through our donations to Foodbank’s school breakfast and national food programs. It doesn’t end there. We’re supporting our farmers, their communities, and the very land that grows our products by directly contributing to Thankful4Farmers, so they can deliver initiatives that support long-term sustainable change for farming communities in Australia. We’re proud to make a positive impact to people and the planet. A better future is this way. #bcorpmonth

Very proud to achieve another big milestone with BCorp certification and acknowledging that we all have lots more to do over the years ahead. Thanks to our whole team Openway Food Co. and the support from Five V Capital as we become the latest of their portfolio companies to achieve this.

We are excited to share that we been awarded BCorp certification, a globally recognised accolade which distinguishes organisations dedicated to using business as a force for good. It takes around 18 months to become a certified B Corp and we think it’s worth it; the application process involves a rigorous assessment conducted by B Lab, an external, independent, not-for-profit organisation. They evaluate a company's impact on the environment, community, employees, and customers including what they’re doing to minimise impact on the environment, ways they support the community, how fair and inclusive they are as an employer, and the way they partner with customers and suppliers who uphold the same standards they do. Our dedication to positive impact and social responsibility has been ingrained in our core values from day one; that's why we're committed to creating food that nourishes generations, while also supporting sustainable farming practices and responsible manufacturing practices. Whilst the B Corp certification highlights what we’re doing well, it also helps us identify areas where we can be even better. This marks the start of our journey, and we're excited to continue on this path to make meaningful changes for the betterment of the planet and its people. We're proud to be one of the early adopters of B Corp certification in the Australian healthy food landscape and hope to inspire others in our industry to do more good.
