Peter J Ramsay & Associates is thrilled to share that Fraser Rathmell and Giorgia Kendall recently conducted field odour surveillance in accordance with EPA Publication 1881 – Guidance for field odour surveillance, over a three-day period at the Wangaratta Organics Processing Facility for the Rural City of Wangaratta. Our Managing Director and Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) appointed Environmental Auditor, Peter Ramsay was on-site this week conducting a final inspection of the construction of a leachate pond in Metropolitan Melbourne.   A leachate pond is a specially designed containment system used to collect and treat leachate - a liquid that results from the decomposition of waste materials (including in landfills). Victoria has some of the most stringent guidelines for the design, construction and auditing of landfill facilities (including leachate ponds) in the country.   Our firm has audited the construction of over 120 hectares of landfill lining systems in Victoria (over 60 Melbourne Cricket Grounds!).
