It was incredible to come together as a community in Sydney to launch the impact film Unanswered calls. More than 300 people attended and you could feel the readiness for change as the young people's voices resonated through the theatre. Safe Steps is the only 24/7 family violence response centre in Victoria, providing a state-wide entry point for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence. Our services include: • Information and referral • Crisis response • Specialist family violence risk assessment • Safety planning • Access to supported accommodation We also provide specialist trauma counselling on behalf of the national sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling service, 1800 RESPECT. We provide services to all victim-survivors and recognise that most of our work is dedicated to the needs of women and children, which reflects the gendered nature of domestic and family violence. *Please note: Family violence support is not available through LinkedIn * This page is for sharing news and the latest information about our service and sector. The Vigil plays a crucial role in raising awareness of family and domestic violence by providing a platform for sharing stories of resilience, sparking hope, and inspiring change. It empowers help-seekers to access support before it’s too late, helping to break the cycle of intergenerational trauma and prevent further loss of life.
