Scentre Group owns 42 Westfield destinations with 37 located in Australia and five in New Zealand. Westfield destinations are strategically located in close proximity to the majority of the population in Australia and New Zealand, and form part of the social fabric of the communities we serve. Our Purpose is creating extraordinary places, connecting and enriching communities. We are focused on our customers and creating more reasons for more people to visit our Westfield destinations more often and for longer. We have the capabilities and expertise within our team to design, construct, operate, manage and market our platform. Our workforce includes approximately 75 professions reflecting the diversity of our capabilities and talent.   • Recently, our team delivered a $50 million redevelopment that repurposed 13,000 sqm of retail space at Westfield Mt Gravatt, welcoming seven new specialty retailers and an expanded entertainment offering.     Westfield Mt Gravatt Centre Manager, Nathan Bond, said “Delivering this project, with the support of our team and business partners has strengthened Westfield Mt Gravatt’s position as an essential destination where people and communities thrive.    “Through the strategic redevelopment, re-purposing of existing space and collaborative partnerships, our team have developed an innovative retail and entertainment precinct that meets the evolving needs of our customers, while setting new standards in experiential retail.     “These additions further establish Westfield Mt Gravatt as a dynamic destination, that delivers on our plan of creating more places that more people choose to come, more often and for longer.”

  • We are thrilled to announce our third year of collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, bringing more unmissable Disney experiences to our Westfield destinations across Australia and New Zealand in 2025.    Our General Manager, Marketing and Community, Jacqui Waine said: “Our collaboration with Disney has already delivered many exclusive and highly sought after experiences for our customers, creating more reasons for them to spend their time in our Westfield destinations.     “Our customers have told us they value and enjoy these experiences, and we’re looking forward to sharing more memorable moments with them as we continue to work closely with Disney this year.”    Throughout the year, our customers and fans of all ages will be invited to immerse themselves in the magical world of Disney with ‘Imagine with Westfield’; a calendar of experiences taking place this year across three favourite franchises:  Marvel, (‘Imagine Adventure’), Frozen, (‘Imagine Magic’) and Cars, (‘Imagine Thrills’).      We start in April with Marvel ‘Imagine Adventure’, featuring world-first, Westfield-exclusive immersive experiences, Marvel-themed activities, Westfield member competitions and Disney retail available in-store via our business partners.    #Disney #customerexperience

  • This weekend, our Westfield destinations celebrated our communities with vibrant events and activations, inspired by this year's theme for Mardi Gras: "Free to Be".   • Our Full Year Results for the 12 months to 31 December 2024 were released yesterday. Our 42 Westfield destinations, located throughout Australia and New Zealand, represent the heart of the communities they each serve.  In 2024 we welcomed 526 million customer visits, an increase of 14 million compared to 2023. Our Westfield membership program now has more than 4.5 million members, increasing by 0.7 million during 2024.  Our business partners achieved a record level of sales during 2024 of $29 billion, $544 million more than in 2023.  We continue to see strong demand from business partners with occupancy increasing to 99.6% at 31 December 2024, compared to 99.2% at the end of 2023.  Our CEO Elliott Rusanow said: “These strong results have been enabled by the efforts and dedication of our team who are focused on creating extraordinary places and experiences that connect and enrich the community.” Read our full ASX Announcement: https://lnkd.in/guySaPwb

  • Last week, we hosted the second session from our Westfield Community Seminar Series. The initiative provides knowledge and resources to support our Westfield Local Heroes Alumni and ongoing community partners through a series of events, whilst also offering an opportunity to connect and collaborate with other community partners. Bianca Hatton, Community Engagement Manager, said “Through ongoing engagement with our Westfield Local Heroes Alumni, it became clear that there is a strong desire within our community to learn from each other and grow networking opportunities. “Our second seminar, ‘Funding Your Future: top tips for successful grants and awards applications’, received high engagement, with over 200 guests joining both online and in-person at events hosted in our Westfield destinations. “Attendees gained insights and advice on how to write successful grants and awards applications, from industry experts: Jessie Ballantyne, Founder of The Grants Hub, and Chris Boyle, Chief Visionary Officer at StandbyU Foundation and back-to-back 2019 and 2020 Westfield Local Hero from Westfield Mt Gravatt. “By equipping participants with the skills to secure funding and build successful applications, we are enabling them to expand their initiatives and make a greater impact in their communities. “We will continue the series in 2025, with a focus to grow our connection with our community partners, increasing the impact and driving further advocacy for the Westfield Local Heroes program.   • Last week, we welcomed Area 51 World, an exciting new family entertainment destination to Westfield Mt Gravatt. The venue, spanning 2000sqm and offering a variety of activities for children under 12, is the second location for our expanding business partner. Westfield Mt Gravatt Centre Manager, Nathan Bond said, “We are excited to support Area 51 World by providing them with a platform to connect directly with the Mt Gravatt customer, an area which they have recognised as one of their markets for potential growth. “The unique entertainment venue is a welcome addition to our portfolio, and we have already received positive feedback from our customers over opening weekend.   “It’s a great example of how we deliver the latest offerings to our customers and give people another reason to visit our Westfield destinations.” Our customers are invited to explore a dynamic mix of adventure and community, through a variety of activities including Gizmo’s Odyssey, the ultimate soft play area, interactive sports games, trampolines, and a dedicated toddler zone.   • This weekend, we welcomed Australia’s leading online beauty retailer, Adore Beauty Group's first physical store to Westfield Southland. Marking a significant moment for our new business partner, and another first to market experience for our customers, who were thrilled to see the new store on Saturday. John Papagiannis, our Group Director Businesses said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Adore Beauty to bring its new retail concept to life at Westfield Southland.” “Our Westfield destinations are a first-choice platform for brands that want to grow and engage with new customers, and we are seeing increasing demand for beauty and wellness experiences and services across our portfolio. “Adore Beauty is a business with an incredibly strong and loyal following, one that we know resonates well with our customers and will complement our existing product, service and experience mix at our destination.” The first 250 customers in-store were treated to a complimentary Adore Beauty goodie bag with over 20 deluxe samples.   • Our Lunar New Year celebrations are in full bloom across our Westfield destinations, bringing our communities together to connect and celebrate the year of the Snake.     Elena Petroska, Head of Marketing Destinations and Retail Partnerships, said “This week, twenty eight of our Westfield destinations are alive with colour, to celebrate the Lunar New Year with our communities.   “This moment holds great cultural significance for many of our customers. We are dedicated to supporting everyone who visits our destinations, celebrating what is important to them.   “Our teams have collaborated with local councils, community and business partners, to host a range of activities including Zodiac and giant snake installations, traditional Chinese dance performances, cooking demonstrations, Snake painting workshops, inviting customers to wish for good fortune at our wishing trees and handing out fortune cookies and red envelopes with exclusive retail offers.   “We are excited to welcome the year of the Snake and celebrate this cultural moment with our communities and give them more reasons to choose to visit us, more often and for longer.”   Customers can celebrate across 28 centres in Australia and New Zealand until Sunday, 2 February.
