We are excited to announce that the proposed merger with Red 5 Limited, under a scheme of arrangement, was overwhelmingly approved today via a vote by Silver Lake shareholders in the required majorities. The second Court hearing is scheduled for the 6th June, and the implementation date is set for the 19th June 2024.   This resounding show of shareholder support is a welcome endorsement of the Company’s expansion plans that will see Silver Lake take the next step in the evolution into a leading mid-tier Gold producer. The Silver Lake team hosted an industry night at the WASM Social club last week, with an excellent turn out of students, despite some major assignment deadlines looming. Rothsay Mine Manager, Frank Pellicano, once again presented an entertaining insight into some of his experiences of when things didn't go to plan and the subsequent lessons learned. ANZAC Day Dawn Service from Rothsay: To allow the whole site to participate together, nightshift finished early at about 0430 and day shift delayed to a 0730 start. The first firing of the Santa Open Pit project took place on 8th April, officially recommencing mining operations at the Mount Belches Mining Centre, within the Mount Monger Operations. The recommencement of open pit mining at Santa represents the first open pit mining at Mount Belches since 2016, when the gold price was $A1,750 per ounce; some ~$A1,800 per ounce below the spot price today. The Mount Belches open pits have an initial 5 year project life, and includes cut-backs of pits that were previously mined, as well as a new pit at Flora Dora. Open pit feed from Mount Belches secures a 5 year baseload feed for the Mount Monger Operation. The Santa project team includes mining contractor Mineral Mining Services and Dynamic Group Holdings Ltd, who are providing drill and blast services. #openpitmining #goldmining #careersingold #mmo #firstblast #kalgoorlie

The Silver Lake Resources team had a very enjoyable evening at the AusIMM Kalgoorlie Student Chapter Student Meets Industry night in Kalgoorlie last night. We were thrilled by the level of interest and curiosity that the students had about the opportunities Silver Lake could offer them, and were excited to see how many bright and engaged young professionals are coming into the industry! It was also fantastic to hear from Deflector's Mining Superintendent, Mark Carmichael, who spoke to the students about his experience with a dramatic mine rescue while working in the Dominican Republic. As a Graduate of WA School of Mines: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering himself, it was fascinating to hear about what he went through and learned from a challenging experience in an international mining operation.
