Studio M Collective is beyond thrilled to witness this historic moment in Aged Care reform that happened the last week! The introduction of a new rights-based Aged Care Act is not just a step forward—it’s a monumental leap towards a future where older Australians are prioritised and receive the care they deserve. Congratulations to the Aged & Community Care Providers Association and Tom Symondson for their tireless advocacy. Your dedication has paved the way for this transformative change. Change is coming! This reform signifies the beginning of a new era in Aged Care Sector, one that addresses the urgent needs of our aging population. It’s not just about legislation; it’s about creating a system that values people, their dignity, and their right to quality care. We're honoured to be part of this sector, and we are energised by the possibilities this reform holds for the future. Of course, there’s more work to be done, Chanelle Perkins and the team at Studio M Collective believes this is a step in the right direction for every older Australian and those who care for them. Together, we are building an Aged Care system that not only meets but exceeds expectations, and we couldn’t be prouder to contribute to this journey.
In breaking news, both sides of the Australian government have reached bipartisan agreement on historic reforms that will be vital to all Australians now and in the future. A new, rights-based Aged Care Act was the number one recommendation of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, and the Act will also deliver on dozens of other recommendations. It’s hoped these reforms will bring structured and sustainable financial security to the sector, leading to a vibrant, growing aged care system, that meets the needs of older Australians now and in the future.
