We were so honoured to host our annual Corporate Networking Event last Thursday. After insightful introductions from each company, students had the chance to network with our industry professionals, allowing them to better understand each company, gain insider tips on how to secure a graduate/internship role, and expand their professional network. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the company representatives from Adobe, Nestlé, Ikigai Network, Reckitt, Amazon, Deloitte, Are Media Pty Ltd, Westpac and Macquarie Group who took the time out of their day to attend and provide their valuable insights to our attendees. This event wouldn’t have happened without their support and participation. Thank you also to our internal team for leading the event to great success!

We were so honoured to have collaborated with Adobe last week for our first ever Adobe X SMS Design Workshop, as part of this year's Festival of Creativity at the University of Sydney. We would like to extend our gratitude to Madison Quail and Jessica Tan for facilitating and leading the design workshop to such success! The hands-on workshop have expanded our skills and knowledge of how Adobe's new feature, Generative AI, can be used to enhance any design project! It's been both inspiring and fun to explore new techniques and apply them creatively! Thanks again to everyone who participated, and we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!

We are so proud to be partnering with Ikigai Network in 2024 to help all SMS students gain easy access to career advice and find the 'reason they wake up in the morning'. Thank you again to Jason Zhu He (Co-Founder of Ikigai Network) for making this happen!

We are pleased to announce that SMS is officially affiliated with The University of Sydney Business School. We would like to thank the Business School Dean, Professor Leisa Sargent and Deputy Dean, Professor Suresh Cuganesan for granting us this honor, we look forward to all the collaborations ahead!

On Tuesday night, we had the honour of hosting our SMS x Deloitte Climate & Engineering Presents: Deloitte Case Competition 2023 finals at the Deloitte Sydney Office. This year’s case competition was a challenging one, where contestants had to act as consultants to provide an expansion strategy recommendation for a hypothetical firm in the solar electric vehicles market. After three very competitive rounds, our finalists had the opportunity to present their strategy recommendations at Deloitte's Head Office. Congratulations to our winners from Everest Consulting: - Brandon Lam - Jenni Lin - Kevin Chen - Jacob Magallanes - Connie Ni Our runners up, Harbour Bridge Advisory: - Toby Mok - Michael Peng  - Oliver Xu - Thomas Pittman And our third-place contestants, Dandelion Consulting: - Simeon Su - Roy Zhao - Moera Hirose - Myra Wong We wouldn't have been able to organise such a successful case competition without the support from Benji Prawer, Angus Lau and their amazing internal team. We'd also like to thank Rory Duff, Brian Chen and Margaux Orchard for hosting our Deloitte Case Competition Online Masterclass and being our semi-final judges. Lastly, our deepest gratitude to our finals judges, Oskar Klaes, Hayley Warden and Vignesh A., for their valuable support and feedback! We’d like to thank the Deloitte team for their continuous support once again as well as to everyone who participated in this year’s case competition! We look forward to seeing you next year!
