💡 Spotlight on a Staff Member This month we are excited to recognise Stephen Wellington, one of our exceptional operational team members in the UK, who plays a vital role in our success at Tape Ark | Global Experts in Tape to Cloud Migration. Possessing a unique combination of corporate, military, and overseas experience, Stephen is a Systems Administrator (MCITP EA) with extensive exposure to commercial IT since leaving the Royal Air Force in 2006 after 22 years. His career spans various high-responsibility roles, including Team Leader in Baghdad and project implementation at Camp Bastion. With a solid foundation in IT gained from working with enterprise-level companies, Stephen has collaborated with military personnel, security experts, research academics, and scientists from diverse backgrounds, delivering a consistent and reliable IT skill set. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), MCITP EA (Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional Enterprise Administrator) & CompTIA Security+. Stephen has been an integral part of the Tape Ark team since January 2022, dedicated to working on the largest Tape Ark project to-date, which includes migrating archived data from tape media to the cloud. Stephen is involved in the build, operation, and decommission of equipment in Exeter, working closely with infrastructure support teams from Australia and the USA. His most notable win is the success of the project itself, from the initial build, establishing an operational routine and maintaining 100% system availability for over 2 years. Stephen is passionate about ensuring data integrity and efficiency in all migration processes.
