Updates

  • It's been just over a month since we were able to mark the commencement of construction at the 28,000sqm 1Broadfield Logistics Estate, our first project with project partners Elanor Investors Group, and their investor partner ICON Developments.   Sunny skies, passionate speakers and a well-attended event ensured an engaging and enjoyable experience for all attendees of the sod-turn for this A-Grade Industrial facility.   In this video, we highlight some of excerpts from our speakers on the day, including Anthony Rosales and Tony Fehan (Elanor Investors), Jarrod Bell (Hume City Council), Matthew Bourke (Icon Developments) and our very own Jack Bull.   Excited to see this project come to life and we look forward to sharing construction updates as we progress.

  • A few weeks ago 27 members of the Texco Victoria team were stretching, hydrating and mentally-preparing for one of the most eagerly anticipated days on the Texco social calendar, the Melbourne Teams Corporate Triathlon   This year we had 9 teams taking part across the full and fun relays and were able to celebrate back-to-back 1st place finishes in the Full Team Relay (2024 and 2025), 1st place in the Fun Team Relay and most-impressively a 1st place finish in the corporate dance-off!   While our local Coles and Woolies is only now restocked with blister band-aids and deep heat, we can't wait to go again next year AND take part in our first NSW corporate tri in a few weeks time.

  • Two states, one team and a multitude of extraordinary women who continue to make an invaluable contribution to our business and the outcomes we deliver for our clients.   In Victoria, our team came together over lunch to prepare over 100 dignity packages for women in need, to be donated through Safe Steps. Each dignity pack will include essential items such as toiletries and hygiene products, including soap, deodorant, toothpaste, tampons, and more. TO find out more about the important work safe steps do – or to donate - visit the Safe Steps website.   In NSW, eight female members of the team took the opportunity to take a bit of inspiration from one of the worlds' most famous steel structures - the Sydney Harbour Bridge - which is made up of over 52,800 tonnes of steel. That's a lot of industrial warehouses worth of steel!   It’s really encouraging to see the construction industry continue to make significant steps to celebrate and support women within the industry and we’re excited to continue to play our role in that change.

  • Another significant milestone achieved with our first 5 Star Green Star Building certified by the GBCA under the new Green Star Building Council of Australia Buildings v1 tool with repeat client Stockland.   Delivered for Stockland and tenant New Aim in October 2023, this 31,000 sqm facility was also the first operational industrial facility within the 260-hectare Melbourne Business Park, marking a key milestone for the estate.   Furthermore, this facility is only the second industrial building and third building overall to achieve this certification.   Achieving this result required strong collaboration between Stockland, SDCCundall, our consultant team, and a committed subcontractor network.   A significant outcome for all involved – to find out more about the project follow the link to read the article on Stockland's website!   Read more → https://lnkd.in/gEfWPu9C

  • Momentum is building at repeat-client Dexus' 24,000 sqm A-grade industrial facility in Chester Hill, NSW.   Located in the booming industrial market of Sydney's West, the facility is rapidly taking shape, with the steel framework complete and the roof now going on.   We look forward to sharing more updates as we move closer towards completion and welcoming future occupants into this space.

  • Members of the NSW team enjoyed a great morning out at the KARI Foundation Community Golf Day — with plenty of swings (some better than others), a few lost balls, and a lot of laughs along the way.   We were proud to sponsor a hole for the second year running and continue to support the Kari Foundation’s mission to create meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal youth and communities through education, employment, and cultural connection once again.   A huge thanks to the Kari Foundation for putting on such a fantastic event — we’re looking forward to next year!

  • Congratulations to Frasers Property Industrial - and tenants - on the continued success of the Canvas West Industrial Estate.   It was great to have played our role in the delivery of this facility for Komatsu - and working directly with them to deliver their state-of-the-art Autostore system.    Having partnered with Frasers to build three facilities, five tenancies (including National Tiles, Vida XL, Knauf and PPG Australia) and over 120,000 sqm in this landmark estate it's gratifying to see these facilities come to life.

Step into Komatsu Australia’s state-of-the-art facility at our Canvas West Estate in Melbourne’s West. Komatsu Australia is an industry-leading manufacturer of equipment for construction, mining, industrial and forestry industries. Its new 12,610 sqm facility uses automation and innovative technology to pick and pack parts and components for its customers.  Russell Hodson, Executive General Manager at Komatsu Australia, shared his insights into the inner workings of the purpose-built facility and how customisation has set them up for long term success. • Another significant milestone has been achieved with our valued client Melbourne Airport Property, achieving Practical Completion at the 15,371sqm Spec Bravo industrial facility.   Work is also flying along next door at the aptly named Spec Charlie a 15,740sqm industrial facility leased to CDB group. With both tenancies within Spec Bravo leased prior to completion - one to Wesco Anixter and the other to Programmed - and the entirety of Spec Charlie leased to CDB group – the project is being handed over fully leased, a great result for the entire team at Melbourne Airport!   A special thanks to the site and project teams for their hard work delivering these facilities for our client, and their future occupants, as well as Project Managers Donald Cant Watts Corke (DCWC) and the exceptional Melbourne Airport delivery team for their continued support and collaborative approach to delivering these A-Grade facilities.   We look forward to sharing completion photography of Spec Charlie in the near future.

  • Last Friday we celebrated the commencement of our first project with Elanor Investors Group, and their investor partner ICON Developments, with a well-attended sod turn at the 28,000sqm 1Broadfield Logistics Estate in Broadfield Victoria. With representatives from Hume City Council (Cr. Jarrod Bell - Mayor City of Hume, George Osborne - Manager Economic Development and Cemile Yuksel, Senior Investment Attraction Adviser) and the local land council also in attendance, we heard from a range of speakers who outlined the vision for the rejuvenation of this well-located site within Victoria's northern industrial market. Targeting a 5-star Green Star rating, upon completion this project has the potential to deliver 7 tenancies, spanning two separate facilities, within one of Victoria's most highly sought after industrial pockets. We look forward to working collaboratively with our clients to deliver this project and welcoming future tenants into this facility.
