This morning at the Property Council of Australia's Metro Momentum breakfast, we heard an exclusive keynote address from Peter Regan, Chief Executive of Sydney Metro, exploring how the new metro rail will transform the living experience, reshape tourism and energise key precincts across Greater Sydney. An insightful panel discussion followed moderated by David Simpson, Chief Executive, Transport of The APP Group, and included Carla Armanet GAICD, CEO of Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Florian Caillon, Head of Acquisitions of Third.i Group, and Stephanie Graham, Managing Director, Construction of Lendlease. Health | Since being appointed in 2021 as the Project Manager of the $835 million John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct (JHHIP) project, our dedicated team has been crucial to the delivery of the project that is being delivered in partnership with Health Infrastructure, Hunter New England Local Health District and Multiplex Constructions. The JHHIP project is complex as the scope includes significant mine stabilisation works and civil works, while building new road infrastructure and a brand new seven storey acute services building. All these must be integrated with the existing hospital – the major trauma center for Newcastle, the greater Hunter, and northern NSW communities, that operates one of the busiest emergency departments in NSW. The APP Group team, including Ethan Clark as team leader, Project Managers Jade Moss and Kurt Boyes, along with Jack Madden, Nick Palmer and Daisy Bryant, has excelled in navigating these challenges by relying on our pragmatic and strategic approach, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Project News | Communities within South East Queensland were affected by severe storms, heavy rainfall and flash flooding in September 2022 (Event 23C). The APP Group was engaged in September 2024 by Department of Transport and Main Roads to provide Contract Administration services for the restoration of essential public assets and various state-controlled roads in the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim local government areas. The recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
