When travel writer, John Burfitt, visited Berlin a decade ago he was on a mission to uncover its historic past; fast track to today and his recent trip to Berlin had a clear agenda - "to put contemporary Berlin front and centre and explore why the ever-evolving metropolis has been described as, 'a city condemned forever to becoming and never to being'..." During his visit to the city that always changes he stayed with us at MM:NT Berlin Lab, writing: "At the newly opened MM:NT Berlin Lab Hotel in the Hackescher Markt precinct, human interaction is virtually abandoned, replaced by everything being done with a swipe of a phone app. It's a bold, experimental new step, with the intention to change the rules of hotels as we know them. We had a two-bedroom apartment, which gave us some breathing space and allowed for downtime during nap times without everyone being on top of each other. The apartment came with a kitchen, a dining area, and — best of all — a washing machine (I froth over hotels with washing machines). These features meant we could save money by eating in and enjoying quieter evenings while our youngest slept. Poised to redefine luxury and architectural grandeur, here is a look at 26 most anticipated hotels opening in Europe in 2025 according to Jarone Ashkenazi and the team from Just Luxe. Among them, TFE Hotels' premium A by Adina apartment hotel brand will make its European debut in Q1 2025 with A by Adina Vienna.
