We're delighted to have landed our first reverse vending machine in the north of Tasmania, located at Mowbray Marketplace in the City of Launceston. This reverse vending machine is one of 49 sites we are deploying across the state for Recycle Rewards, providing residents with an accessible and convenient network of refund points to deposit their eligible drink containers. With the commencement of Recycle Rewards on May 1, Australia will be the first continent to have a container deposit scheme across every state and territory. We are proud to be delivering network operator excellence across multiple jurisdictions nationwide, giving Australian's access to well situated, technology-based container return points. This Feature Friday we'd like to welcome Hayleigh Anderson to the team! Hayleigh is our newest recruit, and Northern Account Manager for our NSW container deposit scheme return point network for #ReturnandEarn! Working closely with her compliance and network development colleagues, Hayleigh is our go-to on the ground in northern NSW. With a vast region to cover, Hayleigh is often on the road, ensuring she is providing consistent support to Depot and Over-the-Counter Operators in remote and regional NSW. A people person and a problem solver, we're delighted to have Hayleigh join our team in delivering CDS network operations excellence across northern and northwestern NSW - welcome to the team Hayleigh!

Earlier this week our head office team celebrated International Women's Day with an open discussion about how we can work together to #AccelerateAction. Members of our team shared insights into the current state of the world, the plight of women in third-world countries, gender pay gaps in Australia, and what we can do to support and uplift the women in our own workplace were key themes. Recently we were delighted to host Kathy Giunta, Director from the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), for a tour of our Eastern Creek Sorting Facility. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the scale of our Return and Earn network in NSW. With over seven years of experience and learning as the Network Operator, our team shared key insights and demonstrated the operational intricacies that drive the success of this vital recycling initiative. We appreciate Kathy's engagement and look forward to continued collaboration in advancing sustainable practices across NSW. Thank you to our 27 volunteers who collected multiple trolley loads and achieved a much cleaner Hanna Reserve in Oakhurst! Last week we were thrilled to be joined by our NSW Scheme Partners NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), TOMRA Collection Australia, and Exchange for Change for a successful Clean Up Australia Ltd event on Darug Country. We worked together to remove a substantial amount of waste, including car tyres, and air conditioner and hundreds of pieces of single use plastic packaging and cigarette butts. This effort directly contributes to protecting the local ecosystem and reducing pollution in surrounding waterways. Tasmania! Your first Recycle Rewards refund point has hit the ground at the Cove Hill Precinct in Bridgewater! This is the first of 49 refund points being rolled out across the state, enabling Tasmanian residents to earn their 10c refunds for every eligible drink container they return with the scheme. We recently met Diya and Divit - 2 absolute recycling champions, who have a keen eye for collecting and returning eligible containers! It's fantastic to see so many kids out there are getting involved with Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme.
