In Saudi Arabia, a handshake goes a long way. Two years ago, I had the privilege of shaking hands with His Excellency بندر إبراهيم الخريف Bandar Alkhorayef His Excellency Khalid Almudaifer, and His Excellency Suliman Almazroua —an act that has since paved the way for remarkable progress. Over the past two years, we have successfully introduced more than 300 Australian companies to explore the opportunities of Vision 2030. But this October marked a new era in the Australia-Saudi trade relationship. For the first time, we proudly hosted an Australian exhibition in the heart of Riyadh, showcasing Australian talent and expertise. The inaugural Aussie Expo, under the patronage of His Excellency Bandar AlKhorayef, brought together over 75 Australians and attracted more than 1,000 attendees over two days. This landmark event not only strengthened business ties but also bolstered government-to-government relations. My deepest gratitude goes to the Australian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mark Donovan; Austrade’s Trade and Investment Commissioner,Todd Miller and the Australian Trade and Investment team, especially Abd Hakmi, Faisal Abdulhadi, Mohamed Ismail and Mohsen El-Bahaie. Australian Agricultural Counsellor Sammi Hosseini. Special thanks to the Trade and Investment Commissioner of Invest and Trade Western Australia Nashid Chowdhury, and the Director of the Gulf, Aziz Saba,MBA. A special thanks to our strategic partner, the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), led by His Excellency Suliman AlMazroa, as well as His Excellency Khalid Al-Mudaifer for his support. Thanks also to all stakeholders, sponsors, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and key partners, including His Excellency Mishare Ben Naheet, Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Australia and His Excellency Atif AlOthri, Saudi Commercial Attaché to Australia & New Zealand. This is just the beginning. I am excited to see the long-term impact of this historic event and the continued growth of the two-way trade relationship as we work toward Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
