Following the success of the Aussie Expo, Trademark Group is proud to announce a landmark agreement with UniVerse, the decentralised academic platform poised to reshape the future of learning and research. This strategic partnership represents a significant milestone, securing a major $50 million USD investment into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These funds will support the establishment of cutting-edge research labs and educational facilities, designed to drive advanced research, facilitate knowledge exchange, and spark innovation, furthering Saudi Arabia’s mission to emerge as a global leader in academic excellence and scientific progress. The signing ceremony took place at the Saudi Commercial Attaché office in Sydney and was witnessed by esteemed guests, including His Excellency Mr Meshare Ben Naheet, Consul General of Saudi Arabia to Australia, and Mr Atif AlOthri, Commercial Attaché of Saudi Arabia to Australia, Sam Jamsheedi Chairman of Trademark Group and President of the Australia Saudi Business Council, and Hon. Joel Fitzgibbon GAICD Ambassador of the Australia Saudi Business Forum, underscored the deep commitment between Australia and Saudi Arabia to advance shared educational and investment goals. This partnership marks a transformative chapter for both UniVerse and Saudi Arabia, as the newly developed facilities will propel research in critical fields, foster global collaboration, and provide both Saudi and international students with world-class resources. Through this visionary initiative, Saudi Arabia is set to elevate its academic and research standing, aligning with Vision 2030’s ambitions to diversify and bolster the Kingdom’s knowledge-driven economy.

Our President, Sam Jamsheedi, and ASBF Ambassador, Hon. Joel Fitzgibbon GAICD, had an immensely successful few days in Canberra, engaging in high-impact meetings with key stakeholders. The discussions centred on the remarkable achievements of the recent Aussie Expo in Riyadh and the soon-to-be-announced Saudi Expo in Australia, which promises to further elevate our bilateral trade and investment relations. We extend our sincere thanks to Prime Minister The Hon Anthony Albanese, Saudi Ambassador to Australia His Excellency Sultan Bin Khuzaim, and Saudi Commercial Attache Mr Atif AlOthri, Minister for Industry The Hon Madeleine King, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs The Hon Tim Watts, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs The Hon Simon Birmingham, Shadow Minister for Trade The Hon Kevin Hogan and the members of the Parliamentary Friends of Saudi Arabia. Their steadfast support is instrumental in fostering meaningful partnerships and paving the way for shared growth between our two nations.

It was great to catch up with our Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and esteemed cabinet members while we were in Canberra presenting on the success of the Aussie Expo 2024 along side ASBF Ambassador Hon. Joel Fitzgibbon GAICD. This initiative was a key step in bolstering Australia-Saudi trade relations, opening doors for investment, innovation, and collaboration across vital sectors. With strengthened bilateral ties, we’re paving the way for a prosperous future, creating growth opportunities for businesses, and enhancing economic resilience in both nations with the support of highest level of Australian and Saudi Government.

Unlocking opportunities between #WesternAustralia and #KingdomSaudiArabia at the #AussieExpo in #Riyadh It was an honour to be in #remarkable #Riyadh for the inaugural Aussie Expo Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted by the Trademark Group of Companies in association with the Australian Government in KSA. The largest country in the Arab region, KSA has a GDP of $1.1 trillion and population of 32 million coupled with many similarities in climate conditions to #WALikeNoOther; there are considerable opportunities to leverage similar goals arounds sustainable Mining, energy transition, decarbonisation; #Vision2030 and #DiversifyWA. Saudi Vision 2030 is a government program launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which aims to achieve the goal of increased diversification economically, socially and culturally. The upcoming World Expo 2030, FIFA World cup 2034, and a pipeline of 11 Mega projects exceeding US$1 trillion until 2030 - will stimulate accelerated growth opportunities for the economy. #Mining has been identified as the third economic pillar for KSA and WA has some incredible expertise to support this growth story. As Saudi Arabia continues to make strides in emerging technologies there is great potential for #WA collaboration in innovation. It was an honour hosting His Excellency Khalid Almudaifer @Sulaiman almouza @Athri M Othri at our booth and discussing their admiration of WA. It was also great to have a spotlight on WA at the conference to showcase #WALikeNoOther and meeting WA companies DELTA Steel Structures Pvt. Ltd. IGO Ltd and Northern Minerals. The warmth and hospitality shown by stakeholders in Riyadh was second to none; and it was a pleasure to see Australian talent in KSA contributing to the incredible growth story of this booming economy. My heartfelt gratitude to the Sam Jamsheedi and Daniel J, the Jamsheedi brothers and the Trademark team for their unwavering focus on bringing the tale of these two trillion dollar economies and showcasing the collaborative potential.
