One of the many advantages of working at Transdev is that our CEO, Brian Brennan, GAICD, is not only a transport fanatic but also deeply committed to personally connecting with teams across all our operations. His frequent visits to depots—like this one just yesterday at our Transdev John Holland Buses NSW depots in Sydney’s eastern suburbs—play a vital role in building strong relationships with our frontline teams. In listening firsthand to the experiences of our hardworking Journey Makers, we're all more perceptive, positive, and passionate about the privilege of delivering high-quality public transport to the communities we serve.

We’re excited to share the successful completion of the 2024 'Elevate' Female Leadership Program, delivered in partnership with Athena Leadership Academy! Our Head of Learning and Talent, Kiersten Hocking set out for the program to “increase their self-awareness, lead through change, build high-performing teams and work sustainably without burning out”. After months of planning and five months of delivery, the program has made a profound impact on all participants, helping refine leadership styles, build confidence, and prepare for new challenges ahead. A huge thank you to the incredible Linda Murray for leading this transformative journey, and to the Journey Makers who made it possible. We’re thrilled that this program will become a key part of our leadership development offerings. Here's to continuing to empower women to lead with confidence and inspire others! 🚀

🚍⚡ Exciting news for Perth commuters! Transdev has officially launched the first of 18 electric, zero-emission buses on Perth's iconic CBD CAT routes. 🌱 The first four electric buses are now in service, with the remaining 14 to be rolled out over the next nine months. This major investment, funded by the Australian Government and Government of Western Australia in partnership with Transdev, Volvo Buses and Volgren, represents a significant step towards a cleaner, greener future. Transdev WA Managing Director Bob Parton said, “We’re thrilled to see governments and industry unite to expand Perth’s electric bus network. These new buses are cleaner, quieter, and more efficient—helping reduce Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions." With over 2,500 zero-emission buses globally, Transdev is proud to lead the way in sustainable transport. ♻️ We're committed to working with our partners in Australia and New Zealand to build more sustainable, eco-friendly bus networks. This R U OK? Day, we're launching a fantastic initiative that will soon be catching the eyes of riders aboard Brisbane's Bayside and Redland buses. Team members, including drivers and office staff, will don vibrant shirts as part of #FunkyShirtFridays, a fun initiative aimed at sparking meaningful conversations about mental health in partnership with workwear label TradeMutt. The fun colours serve a powerful purpose: they help promote TIACS, a mental health counselling service supporting tradies, truckies, farmers, and blue-collar workers. Managing Director of Transdev Queensland Mark Thatcher said: “You definitely can’t miss these shirts - and that’s the point! We hope they encourage chats between our drivers, customers, and colleagues, helping to strengthen the connection between our teams and the communities we serve.” Look out for our team in their funky shirts and feel free to strike up a conversation - you never know where it might lead! It's no secret that Transdev proud operator of Sydney Ferries is part of our city's cultural fabric, but never quite so literally as this. Artist Kate Newby has repurposed rope from our MV Sirius as part of a beautiful installation entitled 'Hours in wind', currently free to visit and on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia until 4 September. We're honoured to be part of these sculptures which "invite [viewers] to consider the poetic qualities of everyday materials and their surrounding environment". More info: https://bit.ly/4dPi61y

Here's a little flashback of the team at Transdev proud operator of Sydney Ferries holding a gigantic novelty cheque to brighten your Wednesday. But not just any novelty cheque: one representing just part of the over $5,600 they've raised for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF)'s this year. The donations were sourced from a range of internal initiatives, including proceeds from long-term unclaimed lost property. A huge shout out to our Lost Property Administrator, Lynette, who works tirelessly at reuniting our customers with their lost property and ensures the proceeds for property which unclaimed go towards supporting great causes like this one. It's a pleasure to be supporting the SCHF, who raise funds to help children access the best possible healthcare, whenever and wherever they may need it. ⚫ Last Friday, members of Transdev's Senior Leadership Team took part in a cultural immersion courtesy of our partner Tribal Warrior Aboriginal Corporation. 🟡 Aunty Donna and Jacob Saunders acted as figurative and literal guides through a day that started early at the The National Centre of Indigenous Excellence. for a boxing session with local youth; a walking tour of Redfern during which Aunty Donna yarned on the historical and contemporary significance of the area; followed by an incisive afternoon of learning and reflection. 🔴 To share in the history and culture of the world's oldest continuous culture is incredibly humbling and we're so grateful to our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander partner organisations whom we walk on our reconciliation journey. Our thanks to everyone who enabled this affecting experience and we look forward to more as we progress our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (read more here: https://bit.ly/3Xra9tD).
