About us
Urban List is #1 for culture seekers in Asia Pacific: a compass for those who live like it matters, and want confidence in the buying and booking choices they make. Launched from a bedroom a decade ago, this indie media house has hit scale— serving 30,000 recommendations an hour across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, connecting a community of 3M+ with quality experiences to eat, buy, book, do and see. Their trusted tips power billions in annual spend — a proprietary formula that blends influence and tech to pair brands with an audience actively in market, ready to convert. 83% of the community have tried something recommended in the last month. And the industry is paying attention. Urban List was named Media Brand Of The Year in both 2021 and 2023, Commercial Team Of The Year 2023 and Brand Of The Year 2023 celebrating their impact on the media landscape and commitment to positive cultural impact — on people and the planet. Good life. Good company. Join in.

“My friends call me Alice in Wonderland, Aliché (said with an Italian accent), Alicia (as in *Alisia*), Alicia (as in *Alachia*), Al, Lici (as in *leesy*), the elder millennial, but you can call me, Alice.” Before joining U:L as New Zealand Editor, Alice Rich was freelancing, teaching pilates, and roaming the world. To her, the good life is: Tteokbokki, tramping and a bangin’ dance floor. ⚡ Welcome to our world, Alice. We’re so glad you’re here.

“Never half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing.” The good life according to NSW Sales Manager, Maddie Rodgers is: long lunches, BBC crime dramas and ocean swims. Before joining Urban List, Maddie was a sales manager at Mamamia while searching for the perfect buttery chard. Her fave quote is “Never half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing." Wise words from the iconic Ron Swanson. She is passionate about all things LGBTQIA+ and is always up for a card-game. Welcome to our world, Maddie. We’re so glad you’re here. 🙌

A record-breaking 90,000 runners took to the streets of Sydney yesterday for the world's largest fun run, City2Surf. And it felt like most kept running past the finish line to our annual Cool Down Kick-Ons post race rager. Cheers to the hundreds that joined us from across the country to keep their fish-line vibe high into the evening making this event a banger. Thank you to the ultimate race-day (and event) partners Polly Morris and Joel Hanlon at New Balance and Tom Jinks, Chlöe Cripps and Ella Hipsley from Mediahub Worldwide for making this epic event possible, we can wait for next year. Put it in your dairies! Thanks to Versa Cocktails for the delish sips and also to NIVEA and Tend-2 for helping us all glow and thrive today. Urban List partnership and events crew, we bow down! 🙌 Rojan Khastoui, Kylie O'Connell, Daniel Harris, Elise Cullen, Jacqui La'Brooy, Maisie Gray, Emma Bishop and Eric Ponce. @

Wardrobe staples that can seamlessly take you from WFH to WFO to Happy Hour are our top picks this winter. Gone are the days of separate wardrobes for your workdays and weekends—now we can stride through the office in trainers and don an oversized blazer to the bar. To nail the corpcore looks we teamed up with Kmart Australia Limited. Link in comments to shop the looks. Shoutout to Parmiss Kiakojouri at Kmart and Teshaya Turner and Katelyn Robinson from Alpha Digital for making this partnership possible.
