🌟 Exciting News Alert! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that following receipt of shareholder approval at the Company’s Annual General Meeting Tuesday, the Company has changed its name from Lithium Australia Limited to Livium Ltd. The change of Company name process has now been completed with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission effective from 30 October 2024. The Company’s ASX code will remain as ‘LIT.’  For the moment subsidiary names Lithium Chemicals, Envirostream Australia Pty Ltd and VSPC Ltd will remain in place. Why Livium? ‘Liv’ connotes life. Further reinforcing our commitment to a better life for all. A promise which is positive, optimistic, enabling and purposeful. Built for today’s increasingly environmentally conscious and activated marketplace. Following the re-brand, the name change is the final step in our shift from mining to critical materials in the battery industry. We have received positive feedback on our new look, and we believe this will be further strengthened with the name change, demonstrating our commitment to delivering a truly sustainable circular economy to achieve our ambition of “Energising a better world”. The global energy transition is creating new economic opportunities for Australia – with government investment support it can be realised.   Yesterday, the AMBC took part in the “Critical Minerals to Batteries: Understanding the Downstream” session at the AusIMM Critical Mineral’s Conference. Panellists included AMBC Director Lynette Molyneaux, and members Jeremy Peters General Manager of Vecco Group, and Lee Finniear CEO of Li-S Energy. As well as Andrew Napier General Manager - Technology Development at Lithium Australia . The panel was facilitated by Joshua Watts, PhD director of the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Energy Storage Research Group. Panellists agreed that Australia can add value downstream to battery supply chains. Companies across Australia – including those represented in the discussion – are already harnessing local research expertise to develop new technologies. However, growing the sector cannot be left to markets alone.   Commercialising and scaling emerging projects will require government finance and policy support. The National Critical Minerals and Battery Strategies are a welcome suite of measures aiding local projects. Federal and state grants are already being used to demonstrate Australian technology works. The AMBC welcomes the existing government support and will continue to work with government in meeting the needs of the industry. Today, the Queensland Powering Australia team of Lynnard Cucksey and Krutika Momaya hit the road to visit local company VSPC Ltd to see firsthand their cutting-edge battery technology and manufacturing processes. VSPC has developed and patented processes for cost-effective manufacture of high-purity, nano-scale materials for the lithium-ion battery market.  Their technology enables high-performance cathode materials to be produced efficiently with a focus on sustainability. Krutika and Lynnard were hosted by Plant Manager John Worsley and Lead Scientist Thushan Pathirana who walked them through their electro-chemistry lab and pilot production facility based in Brisbane. The facility encompasses design, creation and supply of high-purity, high-performance, nano-scale complex metal oxides and cathode materials – from initial research through to pilot-plant (current) and (ultimately) large-scale manufacture.
