I’m proud to say that WW Surveys has been involved in both these incredible projects in one way or another. With Torbanlea we carried out precise rail corridor trolley and laser scan feature capture and modelling, point cloud of interface points at Bruce Highway intersections, predetail DTM of the overall site and drainage corridors, Subsurface utility surveys, sensitive area surveys and assisted with the site establishment setout for John Holland. For Ormeau we have been engaged by DT Infrastructure to service their Survey needs throughout the construction phase. It’s great to see regional or semi rural areas reaping the rewards of this public infrastructure spending. We are very grateful to these clients for the trust in our services and I’m personally very proud of what our highly skilled team can provide to these projects. 🚉👷♂️🚧🏗️

We are thrilled to share significant updates on Queensland Train Manufacturing Program’s (QTMP) Torbanlea and Ormeau facilities. Torbanlea Facility Progress: We've established site accesses, set up site compounds, and undertaken bulk earthworks. Design Work: The design of the facilities is well underway. Community Feedback: Your feedback on QTMP’s concept design, gathered between December 2023 and March 2024, has been invaluable. Key themes are being used to shape the final design, with more updates expected in early 2025. Ormeau Rail Facility Progress: Construction is well underway with site accesses established, site compounds set up, and bulk earthworks begun. Goldmine Road Upgrade: In collaboration with the City of Gold Coast, we’re upgrading a section of Goldmine Road, which will include a permanent rail facility entrance. This upgrade addresses community feedback about the impact on Goldmine Road during train maintenance and stabling activities. Future Plans: The design phase for the Goldmine Road upgrade, including the Ormeau rail facility entrance, has begun. Construction is scheduled to start in late 2025 and will integrate with Council’s upgrade of the Lahrs Road and Goldmine Road intersection, starting in September 2024. Some interesting bowling actions were on display last Saturday during our mid-year function!!! 🎳 🎳 It was a fantastic opportunity to socialise with the #team outside the work environment. Overall, a fun-filled afternoon of bowling, capped off with dinner, drinks, and lots of laughter...

Another project that we are very proud to have been a part of! Our team at WW Surveys have worked with the Unity Alliance to provide precision construction setout, rail formation and track realignment surveys, CSR and Utility modelling, asbuilt reporting and Point cloud capture of the finished product. It’s always rewarding to see the finished product come together. Another accolade for Chris Doyle and his team. Well done to you all!
