🌍 Reflecting on 2024: Leading the Way in Reality Capture with WW Surveys🌍 2024 was a groundbreaking year for WW Surveys, showcasing our commitment to staying ahead of the curve with reality capture technology. When delivering precise point cloud models and reality data to designers, architects, and stakeholders - accuracy is everything! 📏✅ Last year, we raised the bar by upgrading our fleet of scanners, reinforcing our position at the forefront of the industry. It has been inspiring to see our expert surveyors 👩💻👨💻 harness this advanced technology to drive exceptional outcomes for our clients. We have looked to squeeze every 'mm' out of the accuracy in the capture and every minute possible out of the back-end processing! We are taking leaps forward in the way construction progress is monitored, as built is documented, segmental builds coordinated, existing conditions captured, and quality is controlled. Unlocking the full power of Reality Capture, we are empowering our clients and teams with accurate reality models that connect the physical and digital world. A thanks to the UPG (Ultimate Positioning Group) team in Brisbane for their support during our trialing, testing and upgrading process. Also for the guidance through the enhancements in the processing, BIM and Point cloud modelling capabilities within the Trimble ecosystem. As we look ahead, our focus remains on innovation, precision, and continuing to lead the way in Surveying excellence. 🚀 Here’s to a tech-forward 2025! 🎉 #Surveying #WWSurveys #RealityCapture #Trimble #UPG #Pointcloud #Innovation #crossriverrail

Another exceptional milestone for this project and one that we have been truly grateful to have been a part of. Positioned precisely where we wanted it to be! Our WW Surveys Woollongabba team, supported by our office data gurus, utilised the latest in #Trimble survey tech to ensure this went off without a hitch and was landed to the highest precision possible. Utilising S9 instruments and X12 scanners our team made sure they knew every intricacy of the assembled structure. Starting with a tight assembly yard control network through to Laser Scan vs BIM modelling and reporting to the project teams and then finally the mm setout precision needed to make sure this was a successful ‘pick and place’. It was great to see the smiles (and relief!) when it was where it needed to be. A shoutout to the Brisbane BuildingPoint Australia and UPG (Ultimate Positioning Group) teams for support during our works on this amazing project. And of course hats off to our Gabba Survey team! Another achievement they can be truly proud of. #bigbuild #WW #infrastructure #theWWway
Have you seen our new addition? 👀 Late last week we installed the first of three giant canopy sections that will form a roof over our new Woolloongabba underground station. This new canopy will change the Brisbane skyline forever and once fully installed will weigh over 300 tonnes. #TransformingTravel #TransformingBrisbane

I’m proud to say that WW Surveys has been involved in both these incredible projects in one way or another. With Torbanlea we carried out precise rail corridor trolley and laser scan feature capture and modelling, point cloud of interface points at Bruce Highway intersections, predetail DTM of the overall site and drainage corridors, Subsurface utility surveys, sensitive area surveys and assisted with the site establishment setout for John Holland. For Ormeau we have been engaged by DT Infrastructure to service their Survey needs throughout the construction phase. It’s great to see regional or semi rural areas reaping the rewards of this public infrastructure spending. We are very grateful to these clients for the trust in our services and I’m personally very proud of what our highly skilled team can provide to these projects. 🚉👷♂️🚧🏗️
We are thrilled to share significant updates on Queensland Train Manufacturing Program’s (QTMP) Torbanlea and Ormeau facilities. Torbanlea Facility Progress: We've established site accesses, set up site compounds, and undertaken bulk earthworks. Design Work: The design of the facilities is well underway. Community Feedback: Your feedback on QTMP’s concept design, gathered between December 2023 and March 2024, has been invaluable. Key themes are being used to shape the final design, with more updates expected in early 2025. Ormeau Rail Facility Progress: Construction is well underway with site accesses established, site compounds set up, and bulk earthworks begun. Goldmine Road Upgrade: In collaboration with the City of Gold Coast, we’re upgrading a section of Goldmine Road, which will include a permanent rail facility entrance. This upgrade addresses community feedback about the impact on Goldmine Road during train maintenance and stabling activities. Future Plans: The design phase for the Goldmine Road upgrade, including the Ormeau rail facility entrance, has begun. Construction is scheduled to start in late 2025 and will integrate with Council’s upgrade of the Lahrs Road and Goldmine Road intersection, starting in September 2024.
