Australian champions! Moranbah North's mines rescue team is the best in the country after winning the Australian Underground Coal Mines Rescue competition yesterday. They went one better than last year, after being narrowly pipped by our Grosvenor team in 2023. Four teams from NSW and four from Queensland battled it out over a series of gruelling challenges. The MG3 Appin team (NSW) came runners-up, and third went to Centennial Coal’s Springvale team (NSW). An amazing result. Queensland Resources Council Queensland Mines Rescue Service

Mining companies are technology companies 💡 Students from Moranbah State High School were given a high-tech look at life on our Grosvenor site through an interactive careers session recently. About 60 students learned how tech and automation is used in underground mining, and were showed drone footage to explain how Grosvenor Mine was sealed using our tele-remote dozers. It’s all part of our commitment to our local communities.

No one should be disadvantaged because they choose to live in regional Queensland. Having family members who are ill or critically unwell can be a very traumatic time for patients and their families. That’s why we’re proud to once again support the Mackay Hospital Foundation Giving Day on this Thursday as a Matched Donor. Our pledge also means donations will directly help the Moranbah Hospital to purchase life-saving equipment and improve health outcomes for patients. Make a donation here charidy.com/mhf/anglo
